Whatever is going on here is a much bigger issue as it seems it can't render the white in any mode. I switched it through all the HDR modes, 10-bit 1080p, 12-bit, etc. Anyway, thanks for the help folks. I'm going to take this conversation over to a dedicated projector thread to try and figure out where the breakdown is. |

Man that was a great rewatch, had to watched it stream but the detail and subtle recolor came through fantasticly. Must be over 10 years since I've last sat through this one, and it as good as i remembered. The music hits at the right times feeling orgasmic to the ears. I don't feel the same about 2 and 3 but I can't wait for them now.
Notice the credits weren't changed so they still display as The Wachowskis Brothers, some had brought up wondering if that was going to get updated. |

Gone. Bestbuy.com is saying end of June for shipping. Not in stock at any store within 250 miles of me (or perhaps anywhere)

Looks like Bullmoose still has it; at least one copy available from six of their stores (which is also where they ship items out from, no main warehouse or anything) for $30 and shipping same day.

it looks so amazingly filmic.
really like the colors, flesh tones pop. great detail in the hdr and oh boy the sharpness. the boot close up later on is so sharp you can see all the rubber linings so fine. it's dark and dim at times imo but it still looks nice, and the amazing sear of the bright white in the loading rooms. it really is like seeing it for the first time. i remember having the og dvd, and blu ray, but this beats it. a little bugged they went for a 66gig disc and the steep price tag, but whatev. it works. |

It's an odd choice, but I kind of like the rabbit, actually. I hope they change it for subsequent printings, so only the first release has it.
It's just a shame the rabbit on the main menu screen isn't a hidden button for some kind of easter egg, or something. I'd love to see The Second Renaissance from The Animatrix in 4k. |

Did you check the BD player's HDMI Color Format settings, and HDMI Deep Color, ...did you check the Picture Mode (in case someone changed it)? |

Shipper is actually supposed to have three. That's what my location received. What was weird though was that a 3rd party shipping company delivered it, not UPS/FedEx. I mean, I guess it made sense, considering it was shipped crated up right on a pallet, but still, kind of a weird way to put out a new release movie.

Why make more than one size of shoes? Just make 15s, and force people to slip in pads that make them fit people with smaller feet.
Also, encoding video is not some months long affair. It's quite easy to give it the parameters of the destination media (that is, how much space you want the video to take up), and let it do its thing. On a modern computer, it'd take half a day (or overnight, basically). Why push the envelope with optical disc formats pushing 100 GB if you're not actually going to use it to improve the quality of the video (which is literally the only reason people have to buy movies on disc, because streaming still looks like ass). |
