It's funny, that's the exact psychological response the psychologists Lucas consulted with about it when he was making the movie said kids would have. Sometimes they are right! LOL.

Oh, and he didn't mind the Senate scenes at all because, admittedly, they are visually stunning. He loved all the floating pods and different aliens. He reacted the in the same way as he did when we watched the cantina scene in ANH for the first time. So... while I've always personally really liked TPM more than most, watching it with my young son really helped me appreciate it a little more than before.

Haha reminds me of my brother and his little son. He loves the pod racing - easily his favourite bit! Hell he looks quite a bit like little Anakin too!

Revenge of the Sith is rated PG-13 while all others including the original trilogy are rated PG.

well i'm sure people are tired about talking about movie critics so i apologize. just one more thing.

i myself am now officially a movie critic. i just became one 10 minutes ago. i invested in all the supplies a critic needs, a smartphone and i have a few movies. my qualifications are the same as all critics, i watch some movies.

now that my critical analysis means more than everyone elses since i'm a movie critic feel free to ask me my thoughts on any movie you like.

Interesting, I didn't know that (haven't watched The Clone Wars yet though). It almost makes the Sith somewhat selfless in that they are happy to sacrifice themselves to continue their legacy.

Could George not have just made this clearer in the prequel trilogy as a whole, a simple scene between Sidious and one of his apprentices detailing the rule of two could have cleared this up nicely.

As for your second point, don't forget that in the opera scene Palpatine laid the groundwork, telling Anakin that Plagueis learned the power to cheat death and he passed everything on to his apprentice before his apprentice killed him. Then, when Palps reveals himself as a Sith Lord, he tells Anakin: "Only through me can you achieve a power greater than any Jedi. Learn to know the dark side of the Force, and you will be able to save your wife from certain death". There's no 'ifs' or 'buts' there, Palps is quite unequivocal about it.

Only when Anakin has actually turned does the crafty bastard then tell him that only one has learned the power to cheat death, and that if they work together they can discover the secret. I know some folks regard that as Palpatine in CYA mode, but I've always thought that he was telling Anakin exactly what he wanted to hear to get him on-side. Heck, it may even be that he needed someone with Anakin's latent power to finally crack Plagueis' secret.

Ian McDiarmid owned in the prequels as Palpatine. I was extremely pleased that Lucas brought him back to reprise is role from ROTJ. IMHO he is the best thing about ROTJ.

He did. but eariler he told Anakin that Plagueis that he was taught how to avoid death as well.

Anakin submits to Sidious and then all of a sudden he doesn't know, but that they will learn together.

Yeah I think AOTC is the better of those three. I find AOTC almost like a detective movie with Kenobi and Skywalker both out to find out what's going on, who's doing what, hunting the assassin and who's behind it, discovering the clones.
Featuring less ja ja and ewoks is also a huge bonus.

Love AOTC! One of my favorite parts in the saga is when Anakin loses it and slaughters the Tuskens. When Shmi dies and the music kicks in, goose bump enducing. And when Anakin kneels down in front of Shmi's grave, and is doing his best to hold back his emotions, you can feel his pain. Awesome stuff!

Whilst I don't necessarily disagree with that, it's a shame that it's preceded by one of the worst death scenes in years.
