What, just to get distribution rights to one movie come May 2020? Seems a bit drastic. It's more the whole Marvel thing that floats my boat, if we were to get the X-Men and the Avengers together on-screen then the world may well explode in a collective geekgasm of delight.

Some articles have started coming up, saying that the acquisition deal is dead.

It'd be cool if they did a 'hands off' approach and let Fox carry on with X-Men the way they've been carrying on with X-Men (though we're not that far away from the inevitable reboot or event that will bring Wolverine back, albeit recast) whilst allowing certain characters to cross over. As mentioned, Deadpool in the MCU would likely be a fun overload. And I wants it.

My wife told me I'm not allowed to like Deadpool anymore, but he would fit in with the MCU peeps I guess. Still, I like the unique tone most of Fox's X-Men stuff has achieved and don't want it messed with too much, especially since Warner has pulled their emergency Marvel copy machine parachute.

Everything, Marvel properties, what ones 21st owns, Star Wars. Imagine, X-Men, Spiderman finally officially either in or fully in the MCU. ALL Of Star Wars, only holdup currently for Star Wars (Original, pre-ANH re-brand) IS 21st. Oh not to mention Ghost Rider and Fantastic Four. I'd shell out for spruced up, re-releases.

I know what it means for their other properties. I was responding to the other poster who seems to think that Disney buying out Fox might be happening just because they want the distrbution (not even ownership, it's theirs already) to one SW movie. If anything the media reports make it seem like Fox is chasing them, not unlike what Sony did with Spidey and Marvel.

Yeah, which makes it all the stranger that the Murdochs would apparently wanna sell off a majority interest in the studio. If Disney was trying to woo them it'd be one thing, but the other way around? Weird.

What do the Murdochs like than more money? Even more money. Which they'll then just plow into some other venture.

Holy crap, I watched Revenge of the Sith on my new telly last night and the color was amazing. A lot of BDs feel brand new on such an improved television, but this one really benefited a lot. Colors were just wonderful, and the whole movie looked crisp. Made the weak CG sections more obvious but whatevs.

Episodes II and III look great in terms of colors on my 4K display as well. You're right that the CGI and green screen segments are more noticeable though.

They seriously need to update the CGI for not just the Star Wars prequel trilogy but also for the special editions of the original trilogy as well.

How many times does George feel the need to show space ships start flying and landing in their entirety!? Seriously, this is really apparent and, to a degree, annoying in ROTS.

I actively enjoy those bits of interstellar shoe-leather; in almost every case, it gives John Williams the time to set the mood with a juicy bit of score. These little moments are exactly what makes STAR WARS feel like STAR WARS, to me.
