The added Wampa, while understandable on paper, has terrible stage direction. I imagine we're supposed to be getting that Luke can see this creature as he's dangling from the ceiling. But the angles are way off. It just seems like weirdly disconnected objective shots (even thought we know that they are connected).

And the change from "bring my shuttle" to "Alert my Star Destroyer and explain the reason for the next few added shots to them" is my least favourite change in all the SE. - I can sort of forgive the Jabba scene re-insertion on ANH, and forget the eye-watering Jedi Rocks (it's meant to be a showstopper, so the movie stops right there for me and doesn't start again until Leia arrives with Chewie, and I take my fingers out my ears and uncover my eyes), but that change was the most gratuitous and the most disruptive.

I despise Fett's new voice. The other changes in Empire I am more or less fine with.

I wasn't aware that free speech gives the person to make death threats online because you are disappointed with Star Wars

When did someone in the last few pages make a death threat?? Additionally fans can have opposing opinions without taking it to that level. You’re wording it as if anyone who thinks otherwise has no business expressing their opinion.

I think it's mostly diehard fans who hate the prequels. General audiences are fine with them.

I wasn't referring to anyone on this site I was talking about social media in general. Fans making death threats towards Kathleen Kennedy, Rian Johnson, Kelly Marie Tran. And I was in my 20's when the prequels came out and yes their were "fans" who were making out of bounds remards towards Ahmed Best, Jake Lloyd, Hayden Christensen, George Lucas that were downright criminal and lets not forgot the POS Patton Oswalt made a "joke" about killing George Lucas you can easily find it on youtube. But you can make threats in the name of comedy...silly me Again I would like to think MOST fans can express their opinions without making criminally insane remarks but some of what I have read makes me sick

I think they're pretty united on that front already.

I certainly haven't heard one convincing argument in favor of the movie.

That's funny because just about every person I engage with who is displeased is not keen on discussing the actual film. They just want me to agree to disagree that it's of any worth and accept that its a divisive movie, end of discussion.

Which I really think just speaks more about the current public discourse in general than it does about the movie.
