Default Subs

I am working on a limited budget. We live in a townhouse for a little while longer until we can build and then i will build a real HT room.

I have an onkyo 605m monitor 60's, cs2, rt1's ( I think they are polk towers with a single 6" and a tweeter from 99) and tsi surrounds.

I currently have a klipsch ksw 10 and it is ok. I want to get 2 new subs (12") We listen to music ( I am a musician) and love movies. I will eventually move the 60's to the back and get something else up front, but not sure what or when. Anyone have some good suggestions to add subs?

I wanted to add I prefer the sound of down firing

What he said. Also, downfiring is perfect if you have kids and they like to get into stuff.

I am thinking somewhere in the $650 range, total.

I have just always like down firing or reflex cabs

You sound like a good candidate for dual A2-300's. Congratulations! Seriously though, the A2-300 is a down-firing sub and is an excellent option. Two of them would significantly even out bass response in all seating positions too.

For now. Better hurry if you want the down-firing sub.

Another good option would be Hsu's lineup. They're all down-firing. www.hsuresearch.com

He did say he wanted two subs though so I recommended the eD's there. If his budget was just for one sub, then I'd suggest an HSU or AV123 sub.

There are Hsu options to get two subs for about that price.
