Default Shopping for me just got easier!

Greetings everybody. Brand new here - in a way. Been lurking for weeks now.

It occurred to me that blu-rays have another added benefit. And here it is...

I don't have to explain to people to buy me the "wide-screen" version of movies anymore.

Every year well meaning relatives have put me in a gift return nightmare as inevitably they buy me the full-screen versions of movies I ask for. You're sitting there opening the gift, internally upset (yet acting gracious) because of their blatant disregard of possibly the most important detail of every movie-phile. Next you have to go down and wait in impossibly long exchange lines hoping that the store will exchange full screen for wide screen without a receipt. I'm sorry I can't go on describing the scenario because I'm beginning to get upset.

Anyhow, NOW all I have to do is say - buy me a BLU-RAY! (Although I do have some relatives who think that Blu-ray is a slang term for porn, which causes an awkward moment as I have to explain what I mean.)

However, it did occur to me that movie studios are illogical (i.e. Paramount), and they just might decide to release full screen versions of films. Please, blu-ray brethren, ease my mind and tell me they can't do that.
