Help, I suck in the all the best games!

I recently did a research on some of the best games available for PS3 and went to buy them and it turns out, I suck in all of them.

I am 34 yrs old and the games of my generation were the SNES games, the PS1 and the 1st gerneration PS2 games. I was great in all of them but I was younger then.

Why are they so hard. I want to play them because I want see how the stories unfold but I cant get too far to see what happens next. The best graphics are mostly in later parts of the game and I cant even get that far. I have a 52" HDTV just for these games.

These are the games I have:

Uncharted 1 ( hard)
Resistance 2 (hard)
Infamous (not so hard)
Resident Evil 5 (hard)
God of War collection (not so hard)
COD Modern Warfare 1 (hard)
Prototype (didnt play yet)
Little Big planet (not so hard)
SF4 (easy still remember the old moves)
Blaz Blue (easy)

It seems the hardest games are the shooters. Its so freaking hard to aim the gun. I need some pointers on how to aim correctly. By the time I get the target on the enemy he already shot me like 20 times!!

I want to get Assassins Creed 2 because it seems like a great story but whats the point if I can't get to the ending?
