Anyone else refuse to buy another movie on DVD?

The reason being Blu-Ray has near maxed out home media and the only way forward is holo after Blu-ray. I have not tossed all my favorite movies on DVD. Only those i can not replace on Blu-Ray just yet. Any other move bar those favorites i will rent as DVD s are just crap and only worth renting.

If the film is not available on DVD or BR (laserdisc, betamax, videodisc nonwithstanding), what other options can you have? Besides, this is beyond the point. You are taking it way to another extreme. Heck, I kept my Disney classics on VHS until they emerged on DVD - and will keep them on DVD until they emerge on Blu-ray. The way I see it, the value of keeping a DVD for watching purposes or whatever sentimental value you can attach to it more than overwhelms the $5 you would get selling it to a DVD re-seller store in bulk. Let's hope it doesnt combust and destroy my room since all extinct formats do that!!!
