Reason I am asking, I have heard about the subs should be from the same maker and same size. What about ported and sealed boxes mixed together, I havn't read anything about that mix.

I am thinking about making two more subs. I already have two ported upfront, but I am thinking of making the two new ones sealed and in the rear.

What would that sound like? Any Idea's from anyone.
Four identical subs from the same manufacture is the best option. However, it is not always possible as subs become discontinued or because of budgetary concerns. In that case, use 4 subwoofers that have the same size driver and the cabinets are approximately the same size. If the front subs are ported, use ported subs in the rear. Remember that this not rocket science. With patience and proper placement, you can make four subs that are not exactly identical to work with each other, even if you mix ported and sealed.
