Thank you for that,, though it is still not correct. It’s not even close to the second lowest rated episode. Most of the episodes are in the 8.5-8.8 range. It’s actually one of the highest rated. There are also several positive reviews in addition to the negative ones.

I didn’t click on the link, but if that’s what it says than it is incorrect and misleading.

User based "scores" aren't gonna always be an objective set of review when they largely downvote or trash a score about a specific issue. Viewing an episode OTA or On Demand that causes the primary issue you downvote on i.e. It was really dark to make out X,Y, Z details isn't a true representation of the episodes actual content and merit.

Nope! We have been seeing variations on her training for almost 7 seasons and now seeing her unleash all her training!

lol at calling people"neckbeards" when this forum is full of Hipster fanboy Dweebs, comic con Fantasy nerds and losers who worship "Jennifer Lawrence"

There's even a forum on here dedicated for creepy weirdo fanboys to stalk and fantasize over celebrities. Some really sad stuff.

I'll take that from you lol absolutely hated it. Mind boggling decisions by Sapochnik who did battle of the bastards and other great episodes.

You really have to turn your brain off like a Michael Bay film to wrap your head around some of the battle decision and plot armor that was in this episode.

And that's not even touching the controversy of how it was shot lol wont be shocked if it ends up taking the #1 spot for worst episode once it dies down and people can vote objectively.

Sansa and tyrion and a few other short interactions salvaged the episode to at least semi watchable.

I watched it again and whilst I think it’s fair that some people found it too dimly lit I didn’t. Otherwise I think it’s fantastic and one of my favourite episodes.

It's a shame 90% of the conversations are about darkness. Get a half decent TV and dim the lights. Episode is fine then. The majority of those complaining are probably the stare at their phones with all the lights on kind of viewer. Not all, but most.

I'm gonna go with the cinematographer > Twitter whiners on this one.

I get it as others have said you shouldn't have to adjust your set. Once I did tho now all my programs look better. Secondly there are certain people who dont watch TV in the dark, my mother in law for instance has to have every damn light on in the house, thats just her preferred viewing.

I get what the Cinematographer was going for. It just did not play out great for the general masses.

I'm sick of the discussion on the video being unwatchable too, but if that was their experience, then that's what their experience was and it's a failing of the network/creators/cinematographer.

To blame the viewer for the bad experience is unfair and silly.

I recorded this live and downloaded it on Sky Q. The digital blocking was shocking. It was like watching a pirate film, literaly. Almost unwatchable. They need to up the bit rate for such dark scenes.

Wut they are valid criticisms lol

Waiting to hear your TV model if you say QLED or something from 4+ years ago I'm gonna laugh.

Clearly you've never read about the AVP:R issues, and watched the behind the scenes on that movie how they botched it filming/ in the editing room, and there's no way to fix that.

I digress cause nobody who says buy a better tv lists their model ... But one doesn't even need to argue the quality of the stream/ delivery via on demand/ cable presentation, can dissect the terrible decisions for the battle, the head-scratching theon charge, the plot armor, etc. without ever bringing up video.

The Now TV stream was artifact city as well, and didn't look 720p, but I didn't have much issue with it being too dark.

The bottom line with the darkness is this...if it's a few people complaining about it, you don't take it seriously. But that is not the case with this episode. It's a big story because many people reported the same issue. This many people aren't going to complain about it being too dark just for the sake of complaining about it, especially when there are have been plenty of other episodes with night scenes that people never said a bad word about.

For what it's worth, I went back and watched some scenes last night and it did appear to be brighter for me. It was still dark but definitely an acceptable image. I still had bigger issues with the battle strategy, execution of the battle, plot armor and the NK's death compared to it being too dark.

I agree. The battle darkness wasn’t my primary criticism with the episode – which I mostly liked! Still, it’s the internet, so if you don’t belong to one of two tribes who unswervingly love or hate a thing completely, you’re irrelevant.

Really looking forward to Sunday so that we can replace this episode with the next best ever/worst ever cacophony.
