That would actually be pretty cool. An individual Ultimate Edition box set for each film.

Yup, I'm gonna add something to that post as well now...
Done...
That way... EVERYTHING ever released is now archived into 1 "set"

I can see the latter happening but not the former. The Holiday Special is something Lucus and fans actually agree on in regards to how bad it is.

Legend has it that Lucas said that if he had the time, he'd track down every single bootleg copy of that thing and smash them all with a hammer.

After watching it myself, all I want to know is when and where he plans to do it so I can bring my own hammer.

Just release the damn things that we saw in the theater in 77, 80 and 83 and be done with it! I dont' care if they are seperate or in a package with all of them just get them out there and stop all this NAZI dictating BS on what ones you prefer to be released George. Then everyone can watch whatever versions they want.....not rocket science. Then we can stop all this but George wanted blah blah blah BS.....and everyone can then go on thier merry way and maybe the thread will finally die and it can be buried.

I would buy those individually, even if they were $60 a pop for each one.

Anyone? The Japanese and Australian sets don't have ratings logos, but are well above $100 to import. Any other choices?

I'd pre-order and pay full price for a release of the OT featuring the different versions of the films.

If they simply repackage the Special Editions, I'll happily skip Star Wars again.

Perhaps a Scandinavian release?

I'd gladly pay double MSRP for a set with a properly-restored OT w/o alterations.

Oh and for nostalgia maybe add the standard def pan and scan transfers that were put out on video in the 80's.

Disney: George, great news, we restored the theatrical cuts of the Original Trilogy for release and they look great.

Lucas: No, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Lucas: But my whole point of making these films was to have a really terrible in your face musical number that breaks the 4th wall in Jabba's Palace!
