Glad this may do well enough to earn a sequel. Going to check it out soon. But not before I rewatch Wolverine Origins and Blade Trinity again, both with Reynolds making jokes and kicking @ss.

Though I wouldn't dress up as a character in a movie, I don't see any harm for those who do at the movie's premiere as long as they're there to enjoy the movie and not cause problems. It's like an extension of Halloween for an extra day IMO, and people of all ages dress up for Halloween all the time. Not a big deal and kind of entertaining to see these characters walking about. Comic Con San Diego, some awesome fan costumes there also.

The movie itself was ok, I'd give it three stars. Probably my favourite joke was at the end when

Hopefully the next one gets a bigger budget, because the finale didn't look terrible, but it could've looked better.

I enjoyed it. Not really a huge comic book fan but this is kind of an oddity in the genre, I liked the constant poking fun at itself.

Not sure if anyone else has seen it in an Atmos auditorium but I found the mix to be pretty disappointing.

I've always been a big Ryan Reynolds fan, so I'm glad that he is finally getting a big following and hopefully this will lead more quality comedic roles since that is his bread & butter.

The proportions in general still look terrible. Imagine if they'd CG'd everyone in the movie to have Liefield-style proportions, it'd be like looking in a hall of mirrors at a funfair.

very happy to see this site give this movie a high rating in the review. I have a friend who saw an early screening of it last week and he said he loved it and that it's funny as phuck all too!

Then the version of the X-Men contained in "Deadpool" is an alternate one, not the mainstream Post-DOFP 2016 X-Men at all.

That's a great thing then. Gets rid of another possible confusing timeline issue and with Reynolds pretty much confirming Cable is in the sequel, I can't see X-Force existing in the same universe as Singer's X-men. Just wouldn't fit in at all. That is, if they still want to make an X-Force movie down the line, which I'm sure they will if Deadpool is the one to bring Cable to the big screen for the first time.

Well don't you still have your current timeline explanation? You just don't include Deadpool in that unless they change their minds and have the films part of current X universe.
