I love the X-Men franchise...it's my favorite Marvel based film series. And FOX has (imo) been great with the X-Men franchise. There are two subpar films (IMO, X3 is good, Origins not-so-good), but for the most part it's a critical and financial successful franchise.

But then you see the recent Fan4 and you wonder what happened. They let Singer, Vaughn, Miller and Mangold do what they want with the X-Men/Wolverine films; but what the hell happened with Trank and Gavin Hood?

Good for Tim Miller and company. Deadpool deserves all the success it's finding

Saw the movie for the third time today with my girlfriend. The theater was PACKED - it really surprised me, because my local theater is pretty much empty 90% of the times I go there, which is usually 2 or 3 times a week.

So happy this is making as much money as it is. It truly deserves all the praise and all the success it's getting. Bring on the sequels

There's not much to spread. A lot of the fanbase has been spreading that since like when Avatar came out.

Has Lang ever expressed interest w/ Cable before? I never heard of him saying anything about it.

To me, X3 is a great movie (despite being too bleak and disappointing for the handling of some characters), while X-Men Origins is just fun and good in its own right.

Just got home from seeing. Loved it. Absolutely loved it. It was everything I was hoping it would be and I can't wait for a sequel. The opening credits alone make this a must-see. I laughed all the way through the movie - really, really funny.

Singer would hit a few things right like in X-2 or X3 and then blindly leave them, instead of expanding making them interesting for the future.

His attempts at X-men and still getting trounced on opening by this movie, and having a franchise that is only the net equivalent of Avengers 1 and 2 about sums up his abilities with that storied franchise.

To me like most deadpool enemies he's not really a villain in the way you think of like joker to batman or something. Its more like an antagonist, they'll fight maybe beef but in the end its not really "Villain"

No. He's not a villain. He's a friend to DP. A annoyed but tolerant friend of DP to a degree.
