Rey seems to have plenty warrior in her so she compensates for Leia's more passive use of the force. Leia's main thing is politics and I think she's just as much of a hero as any Jedi for dealing with that shit.

If they were equally aged twins, then I would have to figure at some point, the real Leia was killed, an elaborate memory transfer was conducted, the Oreganos were wealthy, so this was a possibility. Leia II was a couple years older, possibly a replicant-type flesh and blood android, or cyborg perhaps? We'd have to cut her hands off to really be sure.
It's established In the OT that they're twins. Vader says "So, you have a twin sister. Your feelings have now betrayed her, too."

I think Vader was bluffing, just telling him a convincing lie, cause if he had really looked inside his mind, the first thing out of his mouth would have been, "Yuck, you kissed your sister you sick bastard of mine."

You can't really blame Lucas for plot holes and continuity errors between the Prequels and the OT since he was busy thinking of things that really mattered like making Ewoks blink and magical rocks in the future.

And I'd say that Padme was very much kind but sad but when she died, she's a good person but was left heartbroken by Anakin's betrayal.
Yeah, thats pretty much it. I doubt that was the intention of the scene in Return of the Jedi, but pretty much the only way to make sense of it is to assume that she got a force-imprint moment from her mother. Luke didn't because... reasons.

Its definitely not the only thing that doesn't add up in the prequels though. The entire conversation between Luke and Obi Wan in Obi Wan's hut doesn't make much sense. For example, when Obi Wan mentions that Anakin's "brother" Owen Lars made strong objections to him going off to fight in the Clone Wars.

Like... what? Anakin meets Owen one time in Episode II and says maybe two words to him total. They had no relationship whatsoever. I guess you just have to assume that bit was made up by Obi Wan as part of his cover story.

He could be referring to Owen's opinion regarding the whole idea of Anakin having joined the Jedi. The relevant quote does not actually require them to have had a relationship, but where Obi-Wan does appear to be necessarily lying - aside from the "Vader killed your father" bit - is in the whole "your father wanted you to have this when you were old enough" thing. Those issues are related and are casualties of the Vader = Anakin retcon.

Yeah, they have the technology to fly from one end of the galaxy to the other in minutes and can attach mechanical limbs but not a single OBGYN in a galaxy far far away.

Leia gets "knocked down" when she senses the loss of Han. To me it shows she's far more connected emotionally to the Force.

At least to this point Star Wars has avoided time-travel, but who knows, if we sling the Magnesium Falcon around a star fast enough, we just might get Han Solo Prime back far enough to meet his earlier self and put a stop to Padme dying so that Luke and Leia can have a natural relationship with their mother, and Han's son will not turn to the darkside because his own mother is now more caring and non-alcoholic.

Have you tried contacting Fox directly? Maybe they can help you out? I know you got it second hand, but it never hurts to ask them directly about replacement cases. Give it a shot.

I agree, it also meshes with her knowing Luke survived the destruction of Death Star 2 at the end of RotJ, that whole "I feel it..." thing. Not an overwhelming sense, but one that gave her enough info to know that Luke lived, and in TFA that something horrible happened to Han or Kylo. Depending on the POV, as she is strongly connected to both, and Kylo goes down a pretty dark path along with the loss of Han. Who knows? I think its best left up to interpretation.

Regardless, it is pretty clear she is force sensitive but probably felt it best to stay far and clear of force training as she was in position that would be easily corruptible to the Dark Side post RotJ. Regardless, it is an interesting discussion.

Yeah, there are various little moments like that sprinkled throughout Episodes V-VII where she senses people in danger, their emotional state, etc. It's enough that I can believe she may have a stronger emotional connection to the force, as PeterTHX put it, and is why she has those vague memories of her mother while Luke doesn't.

Kenny Baker passed away today
