I hope Lucas decides he wants to make another series of prequels that takes place before the current PT and that he wants to make further changes to the OT and PT and makes a deal with Disney that allows him to do all this. Then current versions of the OT and PT will become out print and die out and the generation that grew up with them will beg to have their special editions back. Then maybe by that time science will find a way to extend people's lives by a few hundred years and Lucas will be able to make further changes so that each new generation will grow up with particular versions only to have them replaced with new versions 20 years later.

I plan on doing the Super Chronology Star Wars viewing before Episode 8.....

1, 2, Clone Wars, 3, Rebels, Rogue One, 4, 5, 6, & 7.

Not sure if the Han Solo movie will fit in well eventually. The Clone Wars tie in well to Episodes 2 and 3. And Rebels ties in well to Clone Wars and hopefully Episode 4 by the time it is done.

Hey as long as you admit to never giving the experience a proper chance. Few do that were into OT.

From my experience the original cartoon network versions of Clone Wars fit in too, even if they are not supposed to anymore. Aso I have read how one shift the episodes around to get into chronological order.

I will probably just stick to movies for now.

Correct... There is a chronological order to the Clone Wars that was released.

It is a serious commitment.

Unfortunately they use the Lowry masters for the most part and still have a lot of the issues that are present on them.

Tbh I'd rather stick with the old LD transfers that are on the DVD's for the TC's until a better release come along.

As of this year there are now scans of 35mm prints for all three movies available... somewhere. ESB is pretty rough but they're definitely my favorite way to watch the movies. Quite an experience to watch them projected.

Cool. Wasn't sure if you meant you had already seen it in the past or got it after my post. I haven't watched it yet. I need to! It'll be cool to watch Star Wars in high quality in its original form.

If you think the LD transfers are better than Despecialized, you're delusional. Any "issues" that it has are minimal compared to the standard definition non-anamorphic laserdiscs.

Do any of you think the teal tint added to Attack of the Clones was deliberate? If so, then why?

Is this one of them?

Tbh both sets of masters aren't great. The LD masters are DNR'ed, non-anamorphic and just plain cruddy looking.

The Lowry masters are over-processed and have loads of issues with colour timing, black levels etc.

Harmy was able to undo some of the damage done but not all of it. He did the best he could with what he had available to him.

At the end of the day these films really need new transfers.

I'm guessing it probably was intentional. I have no idea why it was done though.
