Thats kinda cool, watch some movies and drink some eggnog with your spouse by a fire even it is synthetic...not bad at all.

Happy Thanksgiving

I agree completely you. I did this one years ago at a Target in Bklyn NY and it was easy to get in but its was a pain to actually find what you were looking for and an even bigger pain paying and getting out.
Not worth it

I'm going to have Merlot with my frozen Stop N Shop turkey (cooked of course), gravy from a jar, Stove Top stuffing, microwave mashed potatoes, canned green beans, canned cranberry sauce and a Mrs. Smith pie.

As they would say in the old n days, "Can't beat that with a stick". However, you could use that frozen pie to perhaps smash a HD-DVD player ? The NEW Thanksgiving tradition!

Not much just eat left overs and and enjoy the familys company

But nothing really worth getting up early for and got most of my christmas shopping done in August all except a damn coach purse for the gf (which 400 bucks for a purse is totally a rip off)

I plan on playing some Gears of War 2 online for awhile. Then I'll probably head to the mall in the afternoon to laugh at everyone going crazy. I already finished most of my Christmas shopping

I might go shopping but then again it is going to be a madhouse all day in Chicagoland area....So maybe I will catch up on some old video games, have a few brews, watch a blu-ray or two, and maybe hit the "peace pipe" lol

I understand why people would want to go shopping on that dark and scary day with potentially awful results just to find out what the excitement is all about or to try and get a early start in the morning to purchase a sale item before the late morning/mid afternoon crowds become so massive that it is neither fun nor exciting at all, especially when trying to enter or exit a shopping mall or move from one level to the next to purchase another item !

The awful truth is later that night or the next day when the media exploits this terrible event showing what people will due when the doors open and they start running like buffalo trampling each and later decimating themselves or trying to rip others apart for some out of the box tv set that was sitting on the self for about a year and most likely broken or wont last into next year anyway.

Last year --- I learned a very HARD LESSON: the day after Thanksgiving is the first day of hell.

Best Buy had a sale with LIMITED QTY's the morning after Turkey Day. I thought I was slick... I got up extra early, got dressed and drove to my local BB at 3 am the morn after devouring at least 5,000 calories of Pilgrim food (no, not a super-sized Big Mac meal). It was 10-degrees outside and the wind was gusting to 30 mph as I pulled into the parking lot. My eyes nearly burst as I spotted HUNDREDS of consumers on line ahead of me. They had lounge chairs and electric blankets, hot coffee in gallon-sized thermoses, and solar-powered video monitors tuned into The Weather Channel.

Best Buy reps dressed like Robo-cop wandered the consumer line-up advising that NUMBERED CERTIFICATES had already been distributed for discounted items to those who had camped out a week before the holiday. With my tail shriveled up from the cold and tucked between my ankles, I called Triple A on my cellphone to get a JUMP START to fire up my frozen car-battery, start my cryogentic engine, and I wandered off to my local McDonald's to buy a hot coffee and a dried-out McSausage and Egg biscuit. As I watched the sun rise over the eastern horizon, I wondered to myself... WHY???! Why did I wake up at 2 am to get to Best Buy at 3 am only to find out that the LIMIT 10 PER STORE Black Friday Sale was already SOLD OUT?!!!! I was so exhausted that I nearly passed out under the Golden Arches in Mickey Dee's parking lot.

From that day forward, I VOWED to the turd-wiper of Jabba The Hutt's underpants: I would never, ever go shopping the day after Thanksgiving EVER AGAIN!

Ever since it has been like I discovered the fountain of youth. Stay home the day after Thanksgiving. Watch BDs, be with family and friends, make love to the one you love, have a few cocktails... re-lax!!!!!! There will be another sale the next day... and the day after that.

Like Dorothy said in The Wizard of Oz: "There's no place like home (click, click, click...) There's no place like home (click, click, click... )"

To all of my buddies right here on www.Blu-ray.com: (especiially YOU, Will Smith! )

Have a warm, wonderful, and safe Thanksgiving holiday.

I love you all.

Terrence

I'm surprised you didn't know that. It'll be worst this year with this (so called) econimic crisis.

Wink Yoda Says !

A Jedi must have the deepest commitment the most serious mind. This one a long time have I watched. All his life he has looked away...to Black Friday sales, to waking up at 2:00am to the future, to the horizon. Never his mind on where he was. Hmm? What he was doing. Hmph. Adventure. Heh Excitment. Heh. A Jedi craves not these things. YOU are reckless !

I would bet you that if Will Smith was out doing a special store appearance in one of the most crowded, coldest places in NY during Black Friday...Comet will put up a tent for the night, and be first in line for the "sale".
