50 or 60 titles? Wouldn't that account for most of your "lesser unreleased" titles. So none of the Transformations or Steele Justice's are selling? If so, that is a shame and I understand why you aren't putting out more. bummer.

I do appreciate you posting and responding. thank you
Transformations is a poor seller, Steele Justice was better, but still so so. And that's after we've put them on sale a bunch of times.

It didn't make the last cut and we doubt it'll make the current one. You should probably ask the company that released the bigger Williamson and Grier titles which we also passed on.

Although these two films have been released on DVD the quality wasn't great mainly because the movies are presented in 1:33 aspect ratio. Would KINO please acquire them somehow and release them on Blu-ray in glorious HD.
Thank You !

Sorry, but we're not planning to release any of these.

KL Insider, are there any plans on acquiring more Lakeshore/New World titles? There are still some popular unreleased titles in that catalog that could potentially yield favorable sales, like Tuff Turf, The Philadelphia Experiment, 3:15 The Moment of Truth and The Angel Collection.

Speaking of silents...

How about Silent Assassins (1988) from MGM?

Linda Blair... Sam Jones... plus ninjas.

Tuff Turf would be a day-one purchase for me. I'd get The Philadelphia Experiment as well, but Tuff Turf is one of my favorite 80s teen movies.

(Plus, we're still talking about a multi-billion dollar industry. It's not going anywhere.)

I honestly believe that it's the best time ever to be a collector of physical media. The selection grows deeper and broader ever year, the average A/V quality of blu-ray releases stands head and shoulders above the transfers from the format's early days, and increased competition among niche labels has pushed down prices, which is a win for consumers. What's not to appreciate?
Not to mention all of the labels that have just cropped up in the last year plus, delivering quality product - Classic Flix, AGFA and Garagehouse - plus the Vestron Video and MVD Rewind lines.

We are, as you say, truly living in a golden age for physical media, despite what the mainstream click-bait Chicken Little articles have been attempting to claim for the last few years.

I've never even heard of this but over the past few years Richard Conte has become one of my favorite b-listers. Two silents and a Richard Conte is a pretty good day.

Oh, and I don't know who has the rights but I would love to see somebody release The Blue Gardenia.

That would be a great day.

Paul Anka said Howard Hughes had the film on an infinite loop. Then it helps when you own the channel.

Quote:
Dissatisfied with the movie selections on KLAS-TV, the local CBS affiliate, the former studio head purchased the station so that he could dictate the programming schedule. "We knew when Hughes was in town," wrote Paul Anka in his 2013 autobiography My Way. "You'd get back to your room, turn on the TV at 2 A.M., and the movie Ice Station Zebra would be playing. At 5am, it would start all over again. It was on almost every night. Hughes loved that movie." Owning KLAS had its perks. If Hughes wanted to replay a scene, he simply called the station and ordered a studio technician to rewind the footage.

KL Insider - Thanks for all the great feedback and info!

One quick question - Any plans for any releases starring the late, great Anthony Perkins?
