"Pacific Heights", totally blanked on that one. That and "Unlawful Entry" are two of my favorites from that genre.

Excellent. I've been going through and plugging the gaps in my Hitchcock collection and hadn't settled for a DVD of this one yet.

Is Under Capricorn part of the Disney deal? I wasn't sure if it was part of the Selznick catalogue or not.

Most of the Hollywood/Touchstone transfers are newer ones, some are 4K. We just don't have the info to confirm each of these.

Do you have many more CBS titles left to announce? I was hoping you might release Royal Hunt of the Sun.

Thanks for UNDER CAPRICORN! The Hitchcock completist in me is very happy. (I just wish Cohen would re-issue their JAMAICA INN, which I missed out on.)

I think the quality of the villain performance is really what either elevated or sunk the respective films of that genre.

Ray Liotta was pure menace in Unlawful Entry ("She's all alone, now...but don't worry, not for looong!"). Then again, Keaton was awesome in Pacific Heights. As was Rob Lowe in Bad Influence, Jennifer Jason Leigh in Single White Female, Rebecca DeMornay in Hand That Rocks The Cradle and, of course, Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction.

"Bad Influence" is another good one. "Hider in the House" and "Blind Side" are both good because Busey and Hauer play such great psychos. Busey may actually be one. I'm surprised that Gary Oldman never played a psycho who invades someone's life, even though he was on the opposite end of that in "Criminal Law".

Is there any chance for the Three Men and a baby/little lady movies if I may ask?

That's right! Where Kevin Bacon was cast against type and did a good job playing a psycho as well. That film has one of the most bizarre montages I think I've ever seen:
[Show spoiler]shots of Oldman playing racquetball mixed with him vigorously pounding Karen Young in a variety of positions, and then at the end of the scene as they finish, Kevin Bacon's face becomes superimposed over Young's and Oldman looks like he's gonna punch her in the face post-climax. Truly bizarre.

I do think Oldman set the gold standard for a while with the 'psycho cop' role after his performance in "The Professional".

"Hider in the House" with Gary Busey is a late 80s entry into this genre. Have to imagine the success of "Fatal Attraction" inspired a lot of knockoffs.
There are so many. I would add Misery, The River Wild and the Cape Fear remake, as well as 1989's Dead Calm. I'm sure there are many others.

Those are all four superb examples that I completely spaced on.

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a release of VIVA MAX! Far too politically incorrect for this day and age.

This is terrific news! I lost hope in seeing it in a decent restoration. Not Hitch's best film by a long shot, but certainly one of his most beautiful (lensed by the great Jack Cardiff) and it features a jaw dropping long take. Famously, in 1958 Cahiers du Cinema named it one of the 12 greatest films of all time. Jacques Rivette wrote a great article on the film as well.

The scene in your spoiler tag reminds me of the scene in "Disclosure" when
[Show spoiler]Michael Douglas is dreaming Donald Sutherland is hitting on him on the elevator and Sutherland tries to stick his tongue in the back of Douglas' throat.
That scene always makes me laugh.

Sad to say, but they don't seem too interested in releasing them, either.

Thanks for trying, though.
