I have the 3 discs deluxe extended edition and hope ALL the special features was carried over to the blu ray version. I'm pretty sure PQ and AQ will be awesome. But I won't upgrade unless it exceeds the 3 disc dvd version in ALL areas. Waiting for a review on the blu ray copy from this forum.

SO do you recommend another PS3 for the bedroom or do you think one of the $200 players would work ok? I dont care about BD-Live, i just want to be able to watch the movie. any suggestions?

My concern is that my Dad has one of the first Sony BLuray Players and all discs work for him until he tried to watch Hancock and it just doesnt work! I dont want to encounter that, again i dont care about the bells and whistles, i just want to watch the movie. please assist.

I have a PS3 and two more BD players.

Any of these two players will suffice your need.

- Sony BDP-S350
- Panasonic DMP-BD35K

Huh? The slip cover looks just like the case. What is the big deal or obsession with slip covers anyway? I prefer no slip covers are all.

I think slip covers are a pain. When you go to put them back on...they seem to stick where the hole for the UPC is. I could do without them.

Back to the topic...

Cant wait for Kong. I hope it was done right.

Yep, I enjoyed the movie.

It doesn't have any of the special featurettes according to the review at DVDBeaver. According to them it only has one special feature, which is commentary from Peter Jackson and the writer.

That sucks! Wonder why can't they carry over all the features. Blu ray disc have more than enough gigs on dual layer disc, 50 gigs I believe, to hold everything the 3 disc dvd version have and also improve on the AQ and PQ.

Wow, realy?

I am going off the HD-DVD DD+ (and from early reports the DTS-MA is atleast as good), but the LFE/bass on this film is fantastic! The bront stampede? The ship getting to the island? The T-rex fight? Kong running around NY? Just a few, but all these scenes have killer LFE.

In my mind, I should be shaken out of my seat during the scene where the dinosaurs stampede on the island. Anything less will be a disappointment.

You didn't hear? There are virtually no special features included on the BD.

If anyone does not want their slip cover for this film, please let me know. I will be happy to purchase it for a fair price. I am going to wait and pick the movie up later, and I don't want to miss the slipcover.

Thanks! Just PM me
