Maybe he just didn't burn LONG ENOUGH at the end of the original part 2!

Takes a while to die from burning from what I see, ummmm, places here and there.

Seriously, a religious nut who lived around here went in the woods and poured gas on himself and lit it up, burned for 20 minutes or so but lived 3-4 days past that. He was coherent at the hospital too, said he was trying to "burn out the demon". Then the other night I saw a story on Homicide Hunter where a bi-polar girl went and did the same thing and lived a few days after the burning (not sure how long she was ablaze). So if a normal human can live after being burned for 20 minutes, 5-10 minutes is hardly a flesh wound for Michael!
