I, Robot question regarding U.S. or UK release

And yes reference quality means it looks just like it would in the studio when it is uncompressed or extremely close to it. No visible artifacting, DNR, edge enhancement. ect...

What I meant with the question, is that I noticed a lot of grain in the movie, And sorry I didn't elaborate in the question, Sorry! Is there grain in all of the releases, are all the releases identical? <--- question for everybody.

i have the US version and i did not notice any grain at all. in fact, i,robot is one of the best PQ BD's i own. I would assume there is a different transfer for the scand. version.

that they didn't remember any grain, but memory can be questioned, and: There is definitely not grain! is more of a strong answer...

As Jeff said, I' Robot has a very fine grain structure and let's not forget that *shock* it was actually shot on film.

Not being a smart ass - just have an issue with people asking for answers and expecting them in a silver platter without doing research themselves and then coping an attitude here. Examples:

And the review I quoted was the one hosted here, written by Martin Liebman. If you don't consider his review to be reliable, well... I'm sorry.

The film is not grainy; wasn't meant to be or shot to have it (a la Bourne Trilogy for example) and the transfer is very faithful to the original; naturally it will have some - like you accurately pointed out, it was shot on Super 35 but beyond that, it's very smooth looking, even for a film-shot motion picture.

First of all, I wasn't expecting answer on a silver platter and I didn't have an attitude like you did.
They both wrote that they didn't remember any grain, and guess what?
there IS grain. I just meant that memories can trick you, memories are not accurate.
That's why I needed a "stronger" answer.
