Component video cables are Red, Green, Blue and do not have audio attached to them. Your DVD player should have red, green, blue outputs if is supports Component out, for the audio you could use the red/white RCA for audio or use optical (preferred) as RCA will not give you Dolby Digital or 5.1. You did not mention if you were using a receiver and I am guessing you do not use a PS3 for your Blu-Ray player. Yellow is the Video on RCA cables and you do not use it with Component.
