Yeah they never showed him again after he dropped Jon, I'm assuming he's dead.

it wasn't a bad picture, I'm sure it was intentionally done that way to
[Show spoiler]give the feeling of fear, panic and claustrophobia that the people on the field and at the castle felt. they couldn't see very good either so, our visibility was so lowered.

that's how I feel about it. to me, it worked with great effect. for it to look really good, you needed to have HDR to function with FALD then it would be and look different. also, it wasn't pure black or darkness, they were fighting in blizzard conditions as imposed by the Night King.

I dug the way Arrya killed the night king... it just felt a bit quick!

Seeing her come out of the smoke was bad ass, but that death was just way quick, for me at least, almost lackluster.

I still dug the hell out of the episode, i do agree it was dark, but it was a night battle, id rather realistic darkness than artificial brightness!

Now... i predict Jaime is the one who kills Cersei. He just went through battle with these people, that will bind them and Cersei will test that and Jaime will kill her. That's what i think, but as anyone who knows me can tell you, i am often wrong!

I think it’s the broadcast/streaming quality they’re talking about. I remember the same complaints when The Watchers on the Wall aired.

AVP:R was the same way back in the day they took a dark picture and then they said the videographer glossed over that another level of dark and you couldn't see S*, still barely can on Blu+4k upscale.

Not sure HDR+4k disk can salvage this stylistic choice.

It's not just the darkness or the strategy of the battle that annoyed me. I didn't understand how random wights just started walking around inside where Arya was. It also annoyed me that the main characters were repeatedly shown surrounded by wights and somehow they weren't killed. All episode this went on. And to top it off, Arya comes out of nowhere and somehow gets past the white walkers and wights surrounding the NK and she's able to kill him. I don't get it.

So only one dragon is still alive, right?

Wonder if this means the end of dragons. Or can they self-reproduce?

It’s honestly not that bad. Some people are blowing it out of proportion.

If thousands are fighting at the same time, I’m not expecting to see every bead of sweat on their foreheads.

Oddly enough, the title isn’t displayed. Only ‘game of thrones 70’

Yeah the Night King completely changed the conditions of the fight and it was always going to come down to Bran vs Night King.

Drogon will be the last one unless the stories about dragon eggs in the crypts of Winterfell are true.

I watched it on HD Cable DVR and I can understand the complaints, but, I also think that's how they wanted it to look (not bad, just very dark or dimly lit areas) to add to the "feel".

at times, yes, the black of the screen was crushed, but, I think that's the limitation of HD broadcast even for cable. it was bright near fire, but, everything was dark and so was the mood!

I’m rooting for the dragon(s) to win out. To hell with the humans.

Confirmed deaths. Actually quite a bit less than I expected.

Now more than ever I think Cersei goes full blown Mad Queen, burning down King's Landing with herself in it.

I think it’ll be even more impressive on blu-ray without streaming/broadcast compression artifacts all over the place.

For all that build up, hype and anticipation, found it a complete letdown.

Yeah, there were some dark lit scenes and hard to follow battle sequences.

Appreciate the huge undertaking of this task they took upon themselves and the more intimate non-battle heavy scenes were far more superior.

This episode played it too safe. We only lost four characters. None of which were major/key players in Game of Thrones’ own “endgame.”

There were a few great moments and some high tension scenes sprinkled throughout.

And that ending? A total waste. Missed opportunity. Complete fan service. I mean, seriously? You have
[Show spoiler]Arya defeat the Night King?? I love her character, but it was completely eye-roll of a moment.

Honestly. Battle of the Bastards was a far better episode.

Yeah Daenerys lost her armies, I think she will step aside now and let Jon lead the fight against the Mad Queen.
