Seriously all that build up for nothing. Idk if I’m going to continue watching. Killing The Night King in 1 episode was a mistake. Jon seriously should have been the one to kill him it only made sense.

A Mary sue is a female character with great abilities for no reason right, we've seen arya developing as a warrior for years. This isn't rey from star wars

I can understand people enjoying it because every major character survived. But when I watch an episode, if they're going to show me characters in situations where they should be dead ten times over, I need to see more deaths. You don't want to kill main characters? Fine...put them behind a wall like Tyrion. I had no issue at all with Tyrion surviving this episode, or Sansa for that matter. But for all of the other characters fighting on the front lines against a dead army that are supposed to be ferocious and relentless? They have to go down. Case in point...let's remember how this battle started. The Dothraki, who are supposed to be good fighters, were wiped out in about 30 seconds. So it just shows you that the plot armor is so thick for the main characters.

Her entire purpose seems to have been to help Daenerys Targaryen and the living defeat the Night King.

Well said. My feeling are very similar. There are entirely too many characters left for this late stage of the series.

Yuppp, and everyone dying but Jorah riding back there I knew about 3 minutes in it would be lame and lames what we got in terms of direction and common sense.

Sam laying down for minutes at a time

Breanne mobbed by 10+ and living

Him blasting a hole for everyone to enter but Grey Worm, etc. just casually outside fighting not getting mobbed by 10m zombies thats why the direction was so horrible if you wanted to keep them all alive you could have done so coherently lol

It was always built up in the books as “The Long Night” for a reason. The Night King is possibly not even a character in the books. Some speculate that he was created for the show to give the White Walkers a central leader.

Nothing? What did you expect to happen? That was a crazy episode and it was pretty obvious from their plan that they were going to take out the night king to win. There’s only 3 episodes left and they still have to fight Cersei and settle the throne. I fully expected this to be only a one episode battle.

I'll bet we get none of that either. My guess is the Battle of King's Landing turns out to be one massive red herring. Cersei either burns it down of her allies turn on her, ending the battle before it begins.

Cersei has 20,000 sellswords, I doubt the 7 kingdoms put together have that many anymore after all the attritition since the end of season 5.

But to have the Night King go down in such a pitiful way was a wasted opportunity. They could have had it where Jon met the Night King in the garden and they fought. Having Arya some how getting past his generals without being notice was lazy. That one moment just killed it for me it really has.
