I was able to see everything....for those who stream HBO like I do, it looks better to watch the on demand than the live channel.

Wonder if RR Martin is getting a little senile, not knowing how he wanted to end the series. He's getting up there in age, is extremely obese and appears quite frail. It could explain why the writing for the series has steadily declined in quality as the books/TV series progressed.

Well, for all the hype around this episode it certainly didnt live up to it. Unlike a lot of the posts here I dont really have a problem with who did and didnt die, even if logically they should have... what I do have a problem with is it was just a mess of a fight that wasnt well staged at all and ends out of nowhere to abruptly. I mean really, how did Arya even get there? (Was a cool move though) What was the whole point of Melisandres prophecy if that's how the night king died? Really, why was she even in this episode? All she did was light a bunch of fire that in the end achieved nothing.
There were some good scenes here and there (Theon, Lady Moremont, among others) but overall it just seemed like a sloppy, uneven mess. The other big battles on the show have been so much better.

Going forward it would seem Danerys has lost the majority of her army, but I guess she still has 2 dragons. In the end I still think it's all Jon though.

Watched the episode on my laptop and I haven't had a problem with over 95% of the content I've watched (including past GoT eps).

Looking at multiple comments on various other forums/reddit and even from YouTubers (Collider's crew mentioned darkness issues also), it seems like I'm not alone.

Maybe the filmmakers should calibrate their ****ing eyes

I just turned my TV to the brightest possible level for a rewatch and it did nothing for me. Still can't see much and it causes eye strain, which isn't good for my glaucoma.

imo not really considering that Davos would have killed her anyway. Why be killed by someone when you can just remove the single thing that is keeping you alive. Probably less painful then having your head cut off.

I can't deny though. The tension was palpable in certain moments of this episode. Especially the first 10-15 min. They really sold the direness of the situation. Props for that.

Also, loved the music in this ep.

No, it's because the fans expect so much and became instantly toxic and believe they can write better than he can about his own story.

I don't know what I was expecting. Maybe it's just my writing sensibilities, but I was hoping for a bit more. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong, but I was hoping for something more occult, life affirming and a more cathartic ending for the existential dread that were the White Walkers.

Didn't they kill Drogon, though?

Also, btw, Martin has nothing to do with the writing of these episodes, apart from probably being consulted.
