just consulted Amazon and ebay for Fading Gigolo - never did find it local and it's cheaper and faster if I just ordered it physically from ebay or just pop $2 for digital from amazon/iTunes/etc

Back then their BD batches were much simpler! Everyone would haul pretty much the same thing.

Seems now a days you need to go to 5 different ones to just find 1 new title available. without the same DVD no one wanted 6 sales ago.

Either Firestone or lakewood location. Legit the most organized DVD and blu ray section I've ever seen at a DT

Friday June 7th:
Store 3 late today:
Seven boxes of movies at the front, not too picked through. Not a lot of good titles on Blu-ray, but this is the largest selection I saw in my four local Connecticut stores.

Picked up a Robocop (2014) as a trophy for all of the searching in recent days. I'll likely hit one store in NY state tomorrow if time allows, but I expect it to be purged before I get there.

Friday June 7th:
Store 1: A new stock of movies is now in the front bin, all DVDs. Only about 3-4 standard boxes worth. Very picked through. No new stock in Electronics.
Store 2: They simply moved their remaining stock from the Electronics section and put it in the front bin since they put out their new stock last week. The 5 Blu-rays they used to have are gone now. Probably around 30 DVDs left.

I've watched these so far from the current sale:



The Ten - This disc wouldn't play for me. I tried several times and my machine either wouldn't recognize it at all, or it would give me an error message that it couldn't be played. Maybe I'll try cleaning it.

Harold - The lead character is pretty good and the movie has some laughs. I will definitely watch it again. It's not in the database here yet. I submitted a request for it.

Paradise - I surprisingly didn't like this one. I thought I would based on the cast and writer/director, but it was mostly cringey to me. For Julianne Hough fans only!

Compliance - This is based on a true story and is really interesting and entertaining. I'm not sure it has much replay value though unless you want to show it to someone who hasn't seen it. It would definitely elicit a good convo over what transpires in the film.

Finally found Iron Fists 2! The main one I wanted. Only saw 1 copy at 2 stores. No luck with Infiltrator, which was second on my list. I did see the DVD, which when this happens I feel the Universe is mocking me.

I still need to check 3 stores, but I don’t think I can get out this weekend. So I’ll just look for scraps next week. Maybe I’ll get lucky and find Infiltrator.

I only saw Infiltrator on DVD too. Luckily, I already own the Blu (it was $4 at Target or Amazon a while ago).

I also grabbed Iron Fists 2, just because I already have the first. I'm surprised to hear it's so coveted! Is it actually good?

I haven't watched Compliance yet, but I remember a friend of mine having a strong, angry reaction at how "dumb" the main character was. I've been curious about it ever since. Glad I found it in this wave.

I think I got The Ten in a past wave. Hope it works.

IF2 is decent. I only had a hard-on to find it since I’m a kung-fu fan, and I own the first one.

It’s really good (in fact gave it a 4/5 score) and actually every single character here is gullible af so it’s not just the main character. It actually happened in a McDonalds. They obviously had to change the name of the fast food place in the film though.

It’s only a matter of time before we see the BD hit DT. I skipped that DVD cus I’m a loyal Blu-ray snob!

Was there by any chance more than one copy at your store? Can't find that one around here and would be willing to trade for or buy an extra if there are any (same with Full Moon O Sagashite Vol. 4).

I checked three stores yesterday that I hadn't been to. Only one had put their stock out (in the electronics section). Seems like they didn't get much, but I did find Crave on Bluray and Little Rascals Save the Day on DVD.
