To be fair, the name “Ernest” is derived from the Germanic word “ernst.”

Guys, they can't spell my name right, and it was a just a post on IGN that someone then copied and pasted onto TheForce.Net, and the guy who made the Machete Order website copied it from TheForce.Net and misspelled my name. This is a cosmic joke. I'm in newspapers and on websites and the Machete Order made it onto the Big Bang Theory and nobody spells my name right. My friends bust my balls about it, because they know the truth, and they rib me every time it happens.

When my friends bust balls about it, I send them this...

Also, has anyone figured out that release date? 9/22 is a Sunday.
Sunday releases of catalog reissues are fairly common, so the date could be accurate.

Ramis is by far the best part of the film. The Twinkie speech gets me everytime along with Hudson's reaction.

Big Twinkie - Ghostbusters - YouTube
That entire movie is gold. Ramis undersung, he's my favorite also...kinda like Chevy Chase in The Three Amigos.

It's not even an accurate story, for while Ep 1 was indeed captured on film there's only 100-ish shots out of 2000+ that don't have any kind of CG. So the best possible film element for the finished shot in 95% of the movie will NOT be camera negative but a film recording done from the 2K digital files. They could scan that in sure enough but they'd encounter slight generational loss from both the filmout and the scanning it back in, or they could just upscale the 2K files directly. When they did the 3D conversion they did exactly this and bypassed any film elements completely, I see no reason why the UHD preparation will be any different...so basically Ep 1 will be a 2K upscale just like 2 and 3.

Sure, they absolutely could have gone that way. But they didn't. Because they didn't want to. They wanted to present him exactly the way they presented him.

Which means all these post hoc rationalizations about how the younger Ani is the best way to go because blah blah blah blah are just that: rationalizations.

Not that there's anything wrong with that, he said channeling both Seinfeld and The Big Chill.

I just don’t know why so many people are fine with drastic changes done to films 20+ years after they came out. Even if some of the changes make sense, that’s not how the movie happened. Perhaps if the changes occurred really early on then it wouldn’t be as big of a deal, but waiting decades is too long. When I see Hayden at the end of ROTJ, I don’t think “How sweet. He’s reverted back to his more innocent self.”; I think “That’s not what happened.” Same with the Vader “No, nooooo!” He didn’t say that. He was silent.

So, did anyone else who watched CNN's "The Movies: The Seventies" notice that the footage they showed from Star Wars was the original theatrical version? And not only that, but it was nice crispy HD as well?

It’s been mentioned a few times, but yes, it’s exciting! It’s part of the reason why eyes are closely watching this next batch of releases coming out next month. Most people figure these will just be re-releases of what we already have, but you never know.

If they do end up being re-hash releases, then all eyes will turn to the huge 4K box with all 11 films that’s rumored to come out early next year. If the originals don’t come out then, then all hope of an official OUT release may be done for.

Someone at the original trilogy forum discovered that the footage used in that program was taken from the “despecialzed” fan restoration:

Just going off the screenshots, I'm not convinced. The shots of Obi-Wan and Han are noticeably different between the two. Besides, there is no way Lucasfilm or Disney would have allowed that.

I don't find it difficult to believe they cleared those few shots for inclusion in a film history special and provided the clips themselves. (Though I think this is the first time I've seen footage from the original version included in anything official since Empire of Dreams.)
