I'm actually not expecting much out of these at all. I've just found that if I lower my expectations, I may get pleasantly surprised.

Star Trek is a real unknown for me as I have always enjoyed past films, but this could be good or bad, will not know until the final credits roll and I turn to my mate for the post film de-brief.

I guess what I am saying is to be a let down, means you have high expectations. Here is my let down Terminator 4 - I suspect I may be saying, why the hell did they not just stop with the last one !!
I don't see how T4 bothers some people. It's a sequel sure but one that looks like they put a ton of effort into and seems really exciting.

Although Transformers will make gobs of money I don't see it being better than the first one.

GI Joe is looking rather meh too.

I'm going with G.I. Joe.

The director seems like a moron each time he opens his mouth about the film and really wanted it to be G.I. Joe in name only, moving the team to Sweden and having them be a U.N. Style force. Hasbro had to intervene to get the script changed.

When the company whose license you own threatens to take it away, a bad movie usually follows.

I hold no expectations for Wolverine so to me it can't really be a letdown. It looked like a Max Payne kind of movie so as long as it delivers action and explosions, I can't say I'd be "let down." G.I. Joe is going to be bad.

Baggins man...you hit the nail right on the head. Now imagine if they don't take Thor seriously!?!?!?

Wolverine will at least (just) look like a chinese opera. Thor will be a complete disaster.

I agree. Also, I'd like to see Deception Point made into a movie. I think thats Browns best book, by a mile.

I COMPLETELY agree with you. It actually would adapt well to film, I think.

I am not expexting good things from Wolverine the scenes from when he is a little kid just seem off the wall and set a bad tone for the rest of the movie to me.I was really looking forward to that movie too.

GI Joe will flop miserably. I also don't have a good feeling about Wolverine.

HP and Transformers 2 will be home runs. The rest fall in the middle.

Does anybody here not know that there were no re-shoots on Wolverine? Hugh Jackman and several others have said it was additional photography, not reshoots.

Jackman said there was additional photography because he was allowed time to promote Australia.

And for those who were worried about Wolverine not being dark enough, even Jackman has said that even he felt Wolverine got a little softened up over the course of the 3 films, and that he promises Wolverine will be more bad@$$ than ever.

This is the last Marvel movie that Fox is producing. After this one, then all will be made by Marvel Studios. What will be a real shocker is if the Thor movie turns out to be a better film than Wolverine. Wolverine is more popular than Thor by a power of ten, yet when Marvel was just into this movie thing, they subcontracted out all of their most popular characters to other studios.

X-Men / Wolverine / Fantastic Four to Fox
Spiderman to Sony
Daredevil and Elektra to Paramount
Hulk to Universal

I wonder if we'll see more reboots ala Hulk when Marvel gets the rights to their characters back. I believe that only Sony has ownership of film rights while the others are leased. I could totally be wrong about that.

Marvel Studios has shown that they know their characters and represent them the best then all the other "help" out there.

I still think G.I. Joe, even without any personal expectations will still find a way to disappoint.

Feel free to list others coming out this summer that I didn't put on the list.
G.I. Joe and Wolverine are bound to disappoint. I hope I'm wrong about Wolverine though. Actually, anything Stephen Sommers touch turns to dog doo. The only movie I sort of liked was the first Mummy remake.

Star Trek on the other hand looks quite exciting. I used to be a Trekkie, but with the last couple movies they pumped out of Hollywood left a bad taste in my mouth. However, this new movie is looking quite promising.

Terminator 4, to my surprise actually looks good from what I've seen. No doubt it will be better than the third Terminator. I had low expectations for the third and it was worse than I thought it would be.

Angels & Demons, I fully expect this to be better than the first movie, The Da Vinci Code. I knew the first one would suck from seeing the preview and when I watched it, I was right. Having read both novels, I liked Angels & Demons more and from what I've seen, it does look better than the first one already.

Harry Potter 6, well... I was somewhat disappointed with the 5th due to the disjointed storyline. Although I do enjoy it more every time I re-watch it despite its flaws. But I've read the novels, so I was able to get a good grip on what was going on. However, they did take a lot of liberties and changed a whole lot in the last movie. But the 6th is looking more promising this time around. I have a good feeling it will be better.
