today's review:
![]() from the collection of ![]() ![]() Frankenstein Theory (2013) dvd 87 mins 4.5/10 Since we have already discussed this movie recently, I'll keep this short. If you like slow movies or need a slow watch then this is fine for the viewer who needs a horror related, monster related, found film sorta movie. If you are a Frankenstein expert, you might enjoy, but the majority of humanity will be bored and maybe a bit lost. If you really, really, really want to watch, then watch the last 30 mins - it will provide enough explanation. Or, just watch the last 18 mins. (yes, I am saying the first hour of this film is not needed!) |

------------------ I have been thinking about the next wave in light of CV and I (speaking only for myself) will not be posting hauls. I will be sending my list to Spootnek to do with as they please. In the US Midwest, we are about two week out for it gets bad -- its not so great right now, but gods help us.. People here just don't listen to anything but poisonous oranges. People are beginning to get, justifiably, imho, hot, for flexing and gross consumerism during this Global Emergency. Plus, my heart isn't really into it right now. ---------------- I'm unsure if I'll have a review tomorrow - just finished one of probably a couple of phone calls today. Lets just say the first one, i ended up throwing in the kitchen sink, reading the riot act, and titanic eruption. I loath public servants and govt contractors who prey on the most vulnerable. If you are curious, phone call 1: them: if we get any complaints from any clients then we are going to with hold their food. we can do that. if any person complains about anything, including physical abuse then no one gets fed. we don't allow complaints, cuz we are complaints free. I wish I was pissed or in rage, but this is the normal. |

If I had a reason to go there and there werent many people there, I would have a hard time believing that dollar tree alone wouldnt be doing sanitizing and other things to prevent it. That said I will be sitting this wave out. Would be bad business to not care about the current situation

it seems like my one store has had solar lights as IOTW for the last month or so
and my other store is only allowing in 10 customers at a time (a smaller store with no frozen) but honestly i have never seen that many people in that store (but at least their IOTW bin makes sense: Books and Movies (all old stock though) |

Yeah, not a chance in hell would I participate in this wave - if there is one. DT is dirty and disgusting even in the best of times. Plus, I don't trust anyone to social distance - and it's not even possible in some of the more cramped stores.
The obsessive types in this thread can have my set of stores all to themselves this time around. I'm out. |

A few weeks ago I thought the panic over coronavirus was being overblown and I'd still be popping my head in Dollar Trees looking for movies if new movies came in. I was dumb. I didn't foresee the massive shut-down or the critical impact on hospitals.
These last few weeks I've only been to the supermarket, bank and post office and wiped myself down with sanitizer as soon as I got back to the car. I can see maybe going to Dollar Tree to look for frozen fruit, which I usually get there. If they had new movies I'd be tempted to look, but a lot of hands touch those movies so there's that. That's the thing though. Once you go into any place, Dollar Tree or not, you can pick up the virus. When food runs out I have to go to the market. I didn't hoard anything. Delivery doesn't always have things. But, yeah, the line at DT would be something I would want to avoid. I avoid DT lines in normal times so I don't think I'd stay if there was one now. Definitely not doing the multiple store run anymore. Even if movies did show up I don't think there would be the usual rush for them. I know this last wave I found copies of movies that I had bought early on still showing up weeks later. Who knows, but I think if a movie showed up that you wanted it probably would still be there a month later considering the present situation. I know you've heard this a million times, but don't touch your face while you're in the store. Any time you touch something then touch your face without first washing your hands you're risking it. |

So far, I have a perfect score. Now, if I could somehow teach my nose to scratch itself, it would feel like winning the lottery. As for people traffic browsing through the movies, the level of it varies depending upon the DT I would go to. Sadly, I could tell because I went through the stacks so exhaustively, that I would remember the arrangements being the very same a day or two since my last visit. I doubt I'll be going to DT anytime soon. Maybe if I get through another month of this, I'll treat myself to a visit, like a freezing orphan on Christmas morning, let into the mansion to warm his hands by the fireplace. |

![]() Like I said, I'd be prepared with gloves, wipes, masks. The movies will be fresh, so there wouldn't be much germs on them like product already out in the open. And FYI, I'm not a POS ******* who would cough and/or sneeze without covering my mouth. I'm not gonna wipe my snot on product, so the risk of infecting others wouldn't be high. I'm Howie Mandel Lite when it comes to germs. |

But you can catch the disease, not know you've caught it, and unknowingly spread it to others. That is my only point. The movies might be fresh - even that's debatable IMO - but when was the last time those front tables or bottom shelves were cleaned? Probably when the store first opened, if even then. |
