Yeah, I remember owning a Louis toy figurine from the cartoon. I didn't remembered his name and was calling him Matthew, lol

I saw both in the theaters, and at the time I semi-enjoyed the second one. Since I've grown up, though, I just cannot watch the second one. Something about the first one is just way better to me. I can't put my finger on it, however.

Sweet! I watched that cartoon a lot when I was a youngster. I wonder how good the quality will be on that. Last time I saw a 1980s cartoon brought to DVD, it didn't look that good. I think that was for Ninja Turtles or Inspector Gadget or something.

Fun fact:

David Coulier and Arsenio Hall are voices in the Real Ghostbusters series.

The quality should be good. I own the 3 volumes they released in 2006 I think. The quality was good, but each volume only had 4 episodes.

Ghostbusters was released on June 8th, 1984. The PG-13 rating wasn't introduced until July 1st of that year. GB1 surely would have received a PG-13 rating if it existed at the time.

Wow! I didn't know that. I tell old people that it's rated R so they can think I'm a bad parent for letting my 3 year old watch it. She thinks it's great.

No, but thanks for the heads-up! It'll be worth turning on and logging in just for that alone. My Internet is barely enough (384Kbps-1.5Mbps max) to load BD-Live, so hopefully I'll be able to pull this off.

The second one isn't nearly as good as the first one but I still love it.

Can't seem to find the trailer on BD-Live. I'm in Canada, could that be an issue?

Indeed it is! Around christmas time, Time Life put out the entire series through mail order only:
http://www.timelife.com/webapp/wcs/s...key=Y81GSCHYAH

I LOVE the Real Ghostbusters but I'm not prepared to pay around $200 for the entire set but I will definitely be getting the indivudual sets.

it wasn't for me - preordered that bad boy back in september 2008. It's a beauty. I actually didn't pay $200 though. I think I got it from Time Life for like $145 CAD+tax and free shipping. Really lucked out

The complete set also comes with an extra bonus disc you won't be getting when buying the separate releases
