Default The missing link to winning this war...1080p TVs.

1080p TVs. There. I said it. I purchased a PS3 for a number of reasons -chief among them being that it was such an outstanding deal and I'll take a Sony product over a MS-backed product anyday.

So why do I only own one BD? Simple. I only have a Samsung 1080i/720p TV. Last month my neighbor showed me his middle-of-the-road 47" (42"?) 1080p Phillips (6000:1 contrast) and it was AWESOME. At $1,600, however, justifying the cost is a hard pill to swallow but man do I ever want one.

So now it's a waiting game. I want to know where the deals on the 1080p TVs are, or more precisely, WHEN. If Blu-Ray wants to win this war, then its getting the TVs into houses that tips the scales. I've chosen sides since last December. Sony and co. need to recognize that there are MANY like me out there that could cause a seismic shift in sales if we were to be given enough incentive to buy one. Sony and company need to find a way to complete the chain.

Blu-Ray Disc Player----1080p TV------End user/Early adopter investment

Being fiscally/financially responsible stinks .

Enlighten me, people. I know you "gots the goods". My wife is bugging me to get 300 (she likes it more than I do!) anyway. . .
