Try Blu-Tack. It works great. I learned that from a high end audio dealer. The shop owner said besides holding the speaker firmly to the stand it also decouples the speaker from the stand too. I went there looking for threaded spikes (metric sizes) to screw into the bottom of my heavy Tannoys. They aren't supplied with the speakers. He had some spikes but recommended that I use small beads of Blu-TacK instead (ca. 4 mm diameter). He actually gave me a pack to try. It worked superbly well. The bass was firm and tight. Very nice. I went back and offered to pay him but he said keep it.

mine are held on by "Screws" or bolts
![]() The bottom of the speakers are pre-threaded, and the stands came with the hardware...... OP, if you're speaker manufacturer doesn't have stands that address the issue.... then I think Duct tape is the way to go.... wrap it around (top over bottom) about 15 times........ you can get Black Duct Tape if you're trying to go for that classy look ![]() |

I think Beta Man is onto something but use the Red Green gray duct tape and maybe do a a crisscross pattern giving them a sixty's look ![]() ![]() |

I looked for blue tack awhile back but couldnt find it, so I just got good high quality poster gum stuff by 3M. Worked great, and left no residue at all. The speaker and the stand became all one piece. I could pick up the speaker itself and have the stand stay connected while off the ground. Much harder to knock over as well since the base of the stand was pretty wide.
