Ack! Where has the black bars gone?!?!?1

lol. No, but, seriously - that is impressive.

But on an on-topic note, I'm not a bass junkie. I just want even bass throughout my HT room, that's my only intent in two subwoofers, not to overwhelm myself. I'm one of those who believe that shaking the windows, the glasses in the kitchen, or rattling the walls is a bad thing - and not what you're supposed to do with bass. Sure, I can turn up the gain and achieve this - but again, that's not the point.

black bars are gone due to his panamorphic lens...

likewise, im not really into getting that far with regards to rattling the house, but it would be something id like to experience. probably in the comfort of another members home. but to get lower than 20hz in such a room? that must be quite an amazing feeling.

x2... i agree...

play it the way its supposed to be played... it should blend in seemlessly with the rest.. and not be visible at all.. all a sub is, is a speaker to produce those last 2 octaves.. 20-80hz... and the reason for all the fuss is beccause smaller speakers cant reproduce those octaves awell as the higher freqs..

i feel that the bass should represent what the engineers wanted you to hear.. and nothing more.. being too loud is annoying... but when you have set just right.. you are still able to hear what was supposed to be heard and felt.. only if the sub can play it..

I don't need IB subs in my bathroom. I watch Blazing Saddles occasionally. That is more than enough.

This is a good link that explains IB subs:

saw that a while back, but thank you big daddy. you know i do my homework.

all in all, its a great opportunity to experiment with if given the chance. but as you probably know, space is premium here in california. id rather have a bathroom in that space.

wait. i think i wouldnt mind having that than a mirror above the sink.

I think technically too much bass is when your sub sticks out. The low end really should compliment the rest of the mix evenly. However, where is the fun in that? Everyone loves loud booms.. even if they are too loud
