The Amazon Steel arrived this morning, and lovely it looks too. Have to find the time to watch it uninterrupted though.

It was a blind buy as I avoid streaming as much as possible and the cinema wasn't an option. I'll go into it with an open mind as I loved the first movie and well, Gal Gadot...

(She's on my "allowed list" from my girlfriend, and it's a long list!

)

But that's the thing tho, even if it's a movie set in the 80's(and it even has that in it's name), it doesn't go for the "hey, 'member the 80's, wasn't that cool" nostalgia bait to it.
Yet somehow people consider the fact that it doesn't constantly throw 80's references at you, every minute, a negative.

There are far more problems with this film than 80's nostalgia baiting or the lack thereof.

I'm obviously in the minority here, but I enjoyed this movie on first watch this evening. The atmos track in particular stands out, but it was a fun 2hrs+.

hi there, not stupid question at all, i bought TENET UHD digibook from the same HK distributor (Collectong) and all texts are in english, being same studio (Warner) i'm pretty sure all text would also be in english

Got this arriving tomorrow. Bought with a combination of loyalty and blind/hopeless optimism, as its one of the only DC films I didn't get to see at the cinema.

I don’t trust those scores and why can’t this movie be compared to Batman & Robin? At least Batman and Robin has a consistent tone

If that consistent tone includes bat-nipples, count me out.

I agree with George Clooney on this one, who said about the film "I think we might have killed the franchise". But in hindsight we were lucky that this was true, because otherwise we'd have gotten a third Schumacher Batman and the Nolans wouldn't have happened a decade later.

This movie gave me major Superman III vibes, and with the right mindset, I think it's perfectly enjoyable. I actually had a lot of fun with it and am looking forward to watching again.
