I think i remember hearing that they did for the other sequels, but I do know for sure that there were multiple scripts and multiple endings for the other films so this would not be the first time.

I think that was originally going to be the ending. But it got leaked online. So they had to change it.

I think in the original ending everyone died. Inclining Sidney, Dewey, Gail and Cotton. Or at least KW's original idea before it was changed.

Scream 4 during test screenings ended with Sidney dying and Jill getting away with it (with the reporters questioning her while the paramedics take her to the ambulance), no hospital confrontation.

I’d be happy with a remastered Blu-ray of the original film’s Director’s Cut.

Obviously you can’t say much but can you at least say if they do right by Sid and give her some good material?

I don't really buy that this is the trio's best, but I can believe it's their best since 2. Also, why are they doing a test screening? They have to know shit's gonna leak.

I hope this doesn't make the mistake that Scream 4 made where they kill off 99% of the new characters and it just winds up being a safe, stale reunion movie.

On one hand, I'd love for them to have the balls to take out one of the original three because of the impact it would have after all these years...

But then, I become terrified that anyone would think killing Sidney Prescott would do anything for the franchise besides jump-starting it briefly and then flatlining it immediately after.

Aside from my own appreciation for Campbell as an actress, that would seriously sour the experience for me.

The only thing worse would be if she became the killer, which thankfully, I don't think anyone's stupid enough to commit to, haha.

My money's on Jack Quaid's character being the killer, frankly.

Here's to kills as needlessly brutal as Olivia's in Scream 4 or sequences as exciting and well-staged as Gale's chase in the university from Scream 2!

Yes! I don't know why they haven't released the unrated cut on BD up to this point. It's rather silly that they haven't. A new 4K release with all new special features and the "Unrated Cut" would definitely spark more hype and interest than just re-releasing the theatrical cut again.

I just really hope Paramount gives us a teaser before A Quiet Place 2. And please don't spoil every death in the TV spots/teaser trailer like Dimension did. All we really need for a teaser is 2-3 second shots of each character, a voiceover of a Ghostface line, and maybe some lines from other characters, and a shot of Ghostface running or something.

Doubtful. We likely won't see anything until August or September at the earliest.

Courteney Cox Teases Next Year’s ‘Scream’

Quote:
Cox, who will once again be reprising the iconic role of Gale Weathers in next year’s new Scream movie, provided an interesting tease on “The Drew Barrymore Show” this morning.

“This is the fifth one… it’s not Scream 5, though,” Cox explained to Barrymore. “This is Scream. The directors are incredible, they’re making it absolutely… it’s a new franchise.”

Cox continued, “It’s hip. It’s scary. It’s just a new Scream. It’s not a reboot, it’s not a remake, it’s just a brand new launch. I think it’s gonna be fantastic.”

Honestly, I bet they'll save releasing the trailer until Halloween Kills.

It’s a mix of both. Too many remakes with too many sequels, and too many reboots.

So the horror genre is witnessing something I would say is more like turning franchises into horror anthologies. Which I’m all for.
