... bet on it. He's already said he's going to make some changes, and they will be just as minor as the special edition changes to 'Star Wars'; there will be millions of nitwits losing their heads over it, and I will not be one of them, because even though it is my favorite movie of all time, I can accept the fact that it is PJ's intellectual property, not mine, and I'm open-minded to the idea that his changes may be improvements and are not automatically horrible just because they "re-write my history" or some crazy crap like that. Some people really need therapy.

Are you saying he needs therapy? Sorry but I agree with him...Lucas ruined "history" with what he did. Hey why dont we go back and fiddle with Gone with the Wind, or how about The Wizard of Oz? Hey let WF go back and mess with The Exorcist.....jeez...you have no appreciation for film history do you? Learn to be more closed minded about some things....you will go far.

For jar jar you really need to be under 3 so you can't count the number of times he says how rude. 3po did it much better.

The only way the pt will measure up is if they give them a re-edit/extended ed.

I know there's supposed to be a phantom edit of ep 1 which is much better.

Episode 2 needs the most re-editing while what we really came to see is ep 3.

I prefer clone wars to ep 2. Lucas will never release the holiday special
and the droids/ewoks aren't official cannon to my knowledge.

I'm really into sci-fi,fantasy,anime and film in general but find things like saw poor taste and won't watch that stuff but even forein and non action movies are fine.

I could see up,privat ryn-it wasn't poor taste,st,sw,earth,not that into you
terminator,nm2:battle smithsonian, trans 2 and gijoe with no problem.

Still waiting on thundercats, the hobbit, spidy 4 and trans 3+ so many more.

It's Lucas's vision, he's allowed to do with it whatever he wants.

He doesn't owe you anything, he owes it to himself to get the product of his mind to the screen.

Learn to not be such a hater, and you'll go even further than being closed minded.

I've always been a Star Wars fan but i did enjoy the new Star Trek film. I've felt Star Wars to always have more epic battle scenes, but i feel that in the new Star Trek film they've abused the "beaming" technology.

The would use it in rescue missions to arrive somewhere and to escape right before certain doom. Yet in Star Wars, they have to fight their way in AND out.

SW will always win when (IMO) when up against ST. but if it's ST vs. any other sci-fi film then ST would win.

I have not seen the new ST film yet but I heard:
[Show spoiler]R2-D2 was seen in this ST film?!

You should've seen the looks on the faces of the insurance people when the Empire's remaining members tried to file a claim for the Death Star and Vader's flag ship.

They weren't covered for malicious damage done by left-wing militants... out of luck.

I always liked the 'Robot Chicken' bit where Vader has to call Palpatine and get yelled at on the phone because he lost a death star.
