I was recently watching the E3 coverage on G4 and they said big SW news to be announced. Does anyone think that George Lucas might be releasing the saga on Blu Ray?

No. I think it will be about the live action series he wants to create

Or since it was at E3 likely another Star Wars game or 14 that will be coming out.

It's probably be for a game release, it's probably another year or so before we actualy hear anything on a live-action Star Wars TV series.

I seriously doubt it as well, would definitely be some of the best news ever though.

Yeah it would. That would make The Dark Knight look like Denis The Menace being released on Blu- Ray.

Maybe collectively but I doubt it will do better than Dark Knight. Catalog releases can't touch new release numbers. I was a huge Star Wars fan once upon a time (even went to the first ever Convention in Denver before Phantom Menace was released) but I probably won't buy these on blu.

Not until they're about $10 a pop.

I disagree. Many people hold the originals with high regards. Look at the sales on DvD. People want this on High Def and will buy these in plenty on Blu.

Empire will easily outsell Dark Knight..First week numbers will be like nothing
we've seen before, and will move hardware.

I would agree. SW is the #1 movie series in the history of film (at least for me).

Knowing Lucas and his infinate quest for more money he found a way to genetically engineer Taun Taun's and plans on selling them to Canada's RCMP...
