Haven't noticed ASBL/ABL on my A80J when watching movies.
However, in DV, if you engage Advanced Contrast Enhancer, it causes a subtle gamma / black fluctuation in dark scenes aka dynamically adjusting it. It's been reported in A80J and Z9J which means it's there on all 2021 Sony TVs. I had raised a ticket with Sony about this but no action has taken so far. Need to find out if they magically fixed this in VRR software update. Btw, don't ask me why I am engaging Advanced Contrast Enhancer in DV. |
