However, in DV, if you engage Advanced Contrast Enhancer, it causes a subtle gamma / black fluctuation in dark scenes aka dynamically adjusting it. It's been reported in A80J and Z9J which means it's there on all 2021 Sony TVs.

I had raised a ticket with Sony about this but no action has taken so far. Need to find out if they magically fixed this in VRR software update.

Btw, don't ask me why I am engaging Advanced Contrast Enhancer in DV.

Interesting. Though this is way worse than gamma fluctuation. You literally have to "wake up" the tv from the dim state in goes into while watching this movie. Bringing up the main menu with those awful bright white boxes does the trick.
