What 3D Blu-rays have the most/best POP-OUT effects?

The Friday the 13th bootleg has the best pop-out I've seen on my projector with the rake scene. Even better than the wing at the start of The Bubble, which for me was another example of very strong pop-out moment.

The conversion of the original wizard of oz is well worth getting too. There is a bit of pop out; nothing poking you in the eye, but the overall effect really brings oz to life. Probably my favourite conversion of all time. They really treated the film with respect and the 3D makes an already great film even better.

Lots of pop-outs and many extreme in-your-face on 3-D Rarities II shorts, trailers, photographs, and the feature film The Sword of Granada.

Agree. I was loving the 3d effects when I threw this on and settled in for a fun ride. But as the film moved into the second and third act it lost it's 3D wow factor.

There are a ton of pop-outs in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. It has a shot for the title. Unfortunately it backs down a bit towards the end during Nancy's story. Still...I'll be counting them up pretty soon.

But we have people jumping for joy that there's a couple of minor popouts on Thor 3 (the Hammer near the start was the only really impressive effect and it was brief) and Black Panther (still waiting for my copy, but some reviews indicated more use than in the past). This movie has popouts in every scene naturally, let alone the stuff they throw at the camera. I jumped involuntarily more than a few times at stuff coming at me. This is a SHOWCASE film for pop-outs. It and Jaws 3D are still the best.

HOWEVER, I did just watch Tiny Giants 3D (about a mouse and a chipmunk by the BBC) and MAN! Talk about a PERFECT looking 3D "movie"! Flight of the Butterflies looked GREAT in 4K, but the 3D version had really bad contrast and washed out colors in many scenes! I thought my projector had gone wonky! I know their original footage is OK because it was glorious in 4K! The 3D effects were very good (butterflies were flying around my room a few times during the 40-some minutes), but it just lacked visual punch half the time and there was a lot of faint crosstalk even at my optimal settings.

Tiny Giants, OTOH... WOW!!!! GORGEOUS colors! Sharp as 2K gets! Absolutely NO CROSSTALK here what-so-ever! 3D popouts! Slow motion pop-out effects with water, falling leafs and the little rat bastards flying in super slow-mo across the screen! It even had a fun "story" of sorts. GRADE A+++ !!!! The sound was good too with surround used well. This has been on sale for $11 something. Worth every penny!!!

Agreed 100% on AMITYVILLE 3-D, just f**king great all around, such an entertaining film and excellent 3-D. The supposedly problematic transfer had zero effect on my enjoyment of the film. So glad I have it in my collection. Hadn’t heard of Tiny Giants but now I gotta see it!

Totally subjective. Most general folks that think of 3D immediately correlate it to pop outs. Many general folks could care less about depth… pop out is what made 3D popular so it’s walkathon the causal general audience expects. When it fails to happen is when it fails to have return ticket buys of the “general fan” as opposed to the “3D fanatic” …a good ratio is 60/40 of pop and depth,.. but having zero pop is a let down. Cheap conversions have stopped casual/general fans from caring anymore.

The Bubble

Several fantastic pop outs including the famous beer glass and a ladder that leaves the screen and lands several inches from my eyes.

Flesh For Frankenstein

A handful of really great pop outs including the finale which I won’t spoil. Also has the opposite of pop out where a bat actually flies into the screen but seems visible in my peripheral vision as it does so.

Experiments In Love (short)

Again, some of the best pop out I have seen including a ladies high-heel shoe poking at me and a shuttlecock flying over my shoulder. Content strictly adult.

House Of Wax

Only a couple that I noticed but very impressive when they happen. The famous bat and ball scene and a skeleton and props leaving the screen in a later scene.

It Came From Outer Space

Several impressive pop outs including falling boulders.
