If the stereo tracks do not exist, hopefully they can be restored by your audio engineer Eckhard Büttner. He did the three-channel stereophonic sound restoration on The Maze from the mono tracks. I'll buy the Blu-ray anyhow but having the stereo sound would be a bonus.

Biff Elliot's nephew recorded an I, the Jury audio commentary track with him in October 2004. I hope you can include it in the special features roster. Studio Canal has taken down the YouTube video where it was shared (I guess they are the mysterious European copyright owner). I downloaded it prior, but I'm sure you can get a better quality version from his nephew.

Two legends behind the scenes. Cinematography by John Alton and score by Franz Waxman!

I'm confused again, is there and/or was there ever an Abbott and Costello made in 3D? If so where can we expect it to be released?

Abbott & Costello didn't make any 3-D films.

There is a digitized Abbott and Costello Golden Age 3D comic book on the Africa Screams Blu-ray. That's all the 3D from them. The 3DFA has interest in flat films as well.

I don't see one, except for the one I thought they had released. I know it was under license to them for a while, maybe they never released it?

Here it is:

1952
1958 x 2
1959
1960
1965
1967
1978
1984
1985 x 5
1986
1987 x 4
1988 x 4
1989 x 3
1991
1992
1994
1998
2000

I don't think I've missed anything.

Announced so far were the 5 Mr. Wongs, 7 Truffaut films and Programmed to Kill.
Based on this information. It appears that the 3-D film will be Bwana Devil (1952).

Adds up with all the other clues we’ve gotten! If this pans out, along with I, The Jury… just waiting on Hondo now for my Golden Age Holy Trinity!

Speaking of Bwana Devil, I just watched the SkyTV show on the history of 3D that Brian May produced… the 30 seconds or so of clips they showed from the movie looked like some really excellent use of 3D. I’m sure they cherry-picked for good shots, but that got me even more excited to see this one. Mr. Oboler sure seems to have known what he was doing

I’m not entirely convinced that he did know exactly what he was doing! Luckily Joseph Biroc did. I’ve heard many times that Oboler would turn his back on the scene being filmed in order to direct it like a radio play. I don’t know if this is true for the filming of Bwana though. He was smart enough to employ great cinematographers for all of his 3D movies though.

EDIT: just remembered an excellent article about the production which is written by Biroc himself.

https://ascmag.com/articles/hollywoo...-d-bwana-devil

I’ve heard Oboler claim that he deliberately avoided pop out while filming Bwana, due to the limitations of Natural vision and supposedly to adopt more of a realist ethos. I’ve seen the clips you mentioned and agree they do look really good, but I’ve a feeling the 3D as a whole will look flat in comparison to The Bubble. Let’s hope we get the chance to compare them one day!

Oboler also talked about how he put rings on a string around a spear to fly it directly at the camera.

Only if you happen to believe the 3-D in House of Wax, Gog, September Storm, and Adam and Six Eves looks flat in comparison with The Bubble.

It's been a while since I've seen Bwana Devil in 3-D, but I cannot imagine Natural Vision could leave any 3-D fan disappointed.
