I don't think the 'thermal pics' are very persuasive. The horizontal unit is shown from the front, while the vertical unit is shown from the back. Given that the PS3 ejects air from the back, it will undoubtedly show as being warmer from that side.
Not that I am not open to any scientific discovery on the issue, I just don't think that the pictures I have seen are conclusive to any degree. |
