Default upgrading to new BD player

I currently own a Sony BDP-S350 BD player and may want to upgrade to the Oppo BPD-83. I also own a 37" LG Scarlet LCD (with 4 HDMI inputs). Quite some time ago, I had one of the HDMI inputs ISF calibrated (HDMI 1 input -- the Sony is hooked up to the HDMI 1 input). Will I have any issues when I switch the Sony over to the Oppo? And will I have to have the HDMI 1 input re-calibrated once the Oppo is good and burned in (after at least 100 hours of play time).
Any input would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you want to, you may comment on my choice for the Oppo.

I would think you wouldn't need to recalibrate the Display . The upgrade is A major + too . Good choice for A BD Player ! I had the 350 as my first player & I can't say what I think of it compared to know ..

Go ahead and get the Oppo. You will not be disappointed. If you think it's necessary, tweak your display using the S&M calibration disk that comes with it, but you may not even need to. I've had the Oppo for a week now and I could not be happier with it. Aside from the awesome DVD upconverting (which I've watched with 2 of the LOTR movies), it easily plays all the BBC DVDs my old Samsung DVD/VHS combo player had trouble with.

I would think all you have to do is plug in the Oppo blu-ray and sit back.
No-recalibrating.

For example
i had a Samsung 1400.I calibrated my Plasma.
When i got my Yamaha Blu-player.I just plugged in and enjoyed .I didn't even have too tweak my set up a little bit in my Plasma. The video was better and i was very content

Hmmm........OK, that sounds cool enough.
I'll be waiting til September to get the Oppo. Also, since I currently do not have an AV receiver and I am still waiting to get one, Marantz is coming out with a cool little new AV receiver called the 1501 (discovered this last night on Marantz's web site). Though it only has 50 watts per channel (all 7 channels), it does have DTS HD MA/DTS HD HR and Dolby TrueHD and will only be $600. With me being a busy grad student right now, as well as basically living in a bedroom in my Mom's house, I don't want to spend too much money on really big gear just yet. The 1501 is "COMING SOON", so I'll be looking out for that.

If you do not want to spend a lot of $$, I highly recommend the Panasonic DMP-60K. The picture/audio quality is excellent, and the player is half the price of OPPO's player.
