My head hurts reading your posts.

Dreamworks is great but they are no Pixar. Kung Fu Panda is by far their best movie.

It comes down to the story for me. That's what makes it interesting and that's what draws you into the characters. Like someone else said, Dreamworks relies on all of the typical, tired, age old jokes & gags.

Pixar doesn't.

gentleman don't dispute the facts when I explain it in the best way possible to you,Pixar drop the ball and dreamwork carrying the ball Pixar definitely drop it gentleman. An oldman and a kid enjoying a great balloon ride with his house attached to it and a robot in space is not a great story they are running out of ideas.Dreamworks madagascar2 and kungfu Panda far exceed those movies and it is not even close take a poll on it and you will see i am telling you the truth, that why the truth hurts even the critic lol in their chair because they know what's going on

I look at your theater gallery from scratch and it's a serious setup I definitely give you props on your setup but your evaluation on certain movies definitely lacking look at what I stated and how I completely broke it down when I stated it . Your head will stop hurting if you read the breakdown of their past accomplishment for both company to their present. At onetime Dreamwork was a complete laughing stockand you joke about antz compair to buglife.Pixar start of successful with their listerine commercial and step up with toystory1 and 2 but start to declined with nemo, this was the start of a downward spiral, then they came out with cars midrange review not a greatstory then rattouille was good but the next two movies walle and Up didn't registar with me that's how they drop the ballwhile dreamwork recent moster versus aliens better movies than Pixar last two movies.

Wait, did they record the voice acting for The Incredibles during the mid 90s when Coach was still on the air?

Are you 5 years old?

Yes, Up and Wall-E are better films than Kung Fu Panda and Madagascar 2. Madagascar 2 was mediocre, and while Kung Fu Panda is a good picture, it still isn't as good as Pixar's. Even Pixar's "weakest" films still stand up strongly against Kung Fu Panda. You're free to have your own opinion on it, and if you won't look at box office take, at least look at critical reception. Pixar blows out all competition in both regards.

No you don't have to be a 5yrs old either you says you enjoy the storyline,Any 5yrs like pixar and dreamwork and don't know which movies done recently is better because they are 5yrs old.I am an adult I broke down the history did you breakdown explaining why Up and wahaalee better than dreamwork monster versus alien? No lol, because your mind is just like a 5yr old,You perfer Icecream and cake ,instead of oatmeal ,which does the body good to help grow your mind and body.5yrs old don't know the difference because it is all cartoon. If I was a 5yrs I will eat cake and Icecream 3meals a day and tell you that was a meal.Sorry I know the difference

So, let's see the score so far, mixalotboy thinks they are close and might give a nudge to Dreamworks, while everyone else that posted thinks Pixar is better and styill has a clear enough lead.

I must agree with the rest.

Also mixalotboy: yes Wall-E is much better then Kung fu Panda and Madagascar 2, can't talk about Up, have not seen it.

Clear lead of their past not of their recent,wall-e cars is basicially decent movie because pixar did it makes it a great movie ,I disagree gentleman UP,Cars, and Wahaalee just fit in where they can find a spot dreamwork movies even shrek3,KungfuPanda ,Monster versus aliens receives 5star reviews from the critics.Dreamworks retire Pixar(former kings)there are changing of the guards.Pixar confused along with thx are we one of the same ?lol Well explain that theory they both do the same thing so why is there so much confussion among them.

Can you please learn to post like a civilized human being?

It's bad enough reading such blatant fanboyism without having to parse 5 posts responding to the same thing, each in its own patently absurd way.

Red face

you are correct there's no reason to respond and i am not a fan of neither company when the critic review and give the 5stars to dreamworks on Bluray since shrek3 which made more money than pixar cars and waahaalee but I am not going by box office sales .I look at their recent progress not on their past.

If you think Shrek 3 was a great movie, then there is nothing more to say. It was a real stinker. As for people thinking Cars, Wall-E are called great just because we are Pixar fans. You started this thread to "ask" if Pixar is losing ground and you are pretending one of the worst movies ever made (That I would not even consider good enough for direct to video) to be a great movie because it is from DreamWorks. My guess you are the only person on this thread deciding greatness based on studio.

The reason i stated shrek3 is because of their boxoffice success,I agree with you the movie is crap but I further explain I am not using that theory,Up and Walle compare to kungfu and monster versus alien is not close.Pixar name jump on sceen and it a homerun smash whatever movies it is

Thanks, I appreciate your nice words. I wish I had more cash to finish the woodwork and acoustic paneling around the room!

I agree with you on Cars and Wall-E, those are my least favorite Pixar movies. I prefer Kung-Fu Panda over both of them which brings me to my point. Both shops have different groups of people working on each project. For example, I prefer the work of Pixar's Brad Bird over all the rest.

We should really be comparing movies here, but your question forces us to pick sides.

I choose Pixar.
