I bought a HSU Research sub (VTF-2) and I had to reinforce my house to deal with the vibrations induced. If you have steel wall studs you may have to add weight to the studs to reduce or eliminate harmonic vibrations. We also learned to line our kitchen cabinets with Rubbermade shelf liner to help eliminate the dishes clinking together every time we watch a movie. If you are an apartment dweller your neighbors may not want you to have a HSU -Research sub. These subs are extremely tunable with ports you can close for lower bass or leave open for more volume.
