I'm convinced they test new Blus with PS3's because the last time people had trouble playing back a Blu Ray on a PS3 was .... well... never.

Umm... what about the Iron Man recall? So I guess that would be...well...once.
But to be honest, the recall was before the street date, but some people did get the bad discs.

You're not remembering it right. The recalled version of Iron Man would ONLY play on PS3s. No stand alones would play it but it played fine on PS3.

You can review the thread about the Iron Man recall for info...

Nice try though.

No issue with oppo, but i think the picture could had been better, i was suprise that the first crank actually look better but the sound is definite better in the second one. It does take like almost a minute to start up. Liongate is try to copy disney of having alot of trailers in the begenning making the experience not pleasand, can't they just put those in side.

bhampton we are all glad you like your gaming console.

I only paid a $197 for my player and I have watch over 200 Blurays. One movie not QC'd by the company that manufactured this movie does not want me and others to trade in our players to buy a PS3. You are not having a problem with this movie so stop being a troll.

I have both a Sony S350 and a S550 players. Neither one has a working BD Live connection. The movie refused to play on the S350, giving me only the small square picture, but this one doesn't have a Micro Vault USB Drive on it. The S550 came with the USB drive and the movie played right away with no issues.

I guess I'm buying a USB drive for the S350. Does anyone know if I have to get a Sony brand one? The little piece of junk was listed at $54.00 at Amazon

You might have to. I thought I read somewhere that it had a special USB port that only the Sony's USB would fit into.

Default Fixed The Problem--kinda

LG-370 at least., the only way to get this disc to play is by putting in a usb memory key in the front. It then says an update is available (on the disc's BD-LIVE) hit YES , and wait about 5 minutes. It finally loads. This is BS on Lionsgate's part. I've called them already. Netflix knows about it now too. you need memory in the player and has to be BD 2.0 enabled. This is crap. They need to recall this disc.

Per your advice, it's working for me now.

The only thing you need to worry about is the size of the body of the USB drive. It has to be able to fit in the recessed USB slot on the back of the player. Any brand will work, so long as it fits in the recessed slot.

For example, this memory comes with a tiny USB converter module:

Let's summerize what is required to get this title to play on profile 2.0 players with NO internal memory for BD Live.

1. You MUST install an SD card or USB stick. Which ever is required for your specific player.
2. Internet connection is NOT required.
Actually, it's preferred you disconnect the Ethernet cable from the player so there are no attempts to "call home."
3. When prompted to Update, click NO.
This allows you to bypass the EULA and quicker boot up since the player/title won't be searching for an update.

Well, tried it on an original, bought-on-day-one PS3 and got the cropped window in the middle of my TV. Tried accepting, not accepting the agreement/update, ejecting it and putting it back in and finally tried a memory card but absolutely nothing worked. I have the latest firmware and I've NEVER had a problem playing any other bluray. The OP had very good reason to make this thread and doesn't deserve the criticism. Lionsgate made a terrible bluray release and I had to return this movie back to Blockbuster without watching it. Bad business.
