With the exception of the final season, the Game of Thrones steelbook set used two flippable trays inside each steelbook, allowing four discs to be safely housed. That's how all multi-disc steelbook releases should be packaged.

I have never had an issue with this type of case, its the ones where the discs are directly stacked on top of each other that I hate.

Any idea if these new sets with DV will be available in Canada? Can’t find a listing for them on Amazon.ca as of yet, just wondering if they’re slow to list it or if they’ll have to be import sets for us.

I've been checking daily as well! Really hope we get them, I just had to return the complete 4k set because the set was so badly damaged with the glue from the disc sleeves. But they wouldn't do an exchange which was frustrating. Hoping we get this as an option.

Depends on how actually new they are, I'd say. If these are just Dolby Vision slapped onto the old masters then I'd guess those discs will be used for any future reissue but won't be rushed at all. If these are genuinely new scans or whatever though I'd bet they'll get a normal set out once these sell out.

If the language specs are correct, I fear this could be a US only release. I’d have expected a multitude of languages but there is only English, French and Spanish.

Yes I don't think it rules out an international release as they'll probably have different audio options for other countries as is common for Universal. They could even just duplicate the US edition's audio for the UK as they did with The Wild Robot, while releasing alternate versions in other parts of Europe. Either way, it seems premature to rule out a release outside of the States.

As soon as the iTunes versions upgrade to DV, I shall be sampling them in the hope that we are getting new remasters and not just rudimentary DV upgrades. They are currently streaming in HDR10+... so hopefully the DV upgrade really is indicative of a new remaster.

While I have no doubt that the steelbooks themselves will see a release in Europe, I'm not 100% sure they'll include the new DV discs.

For the Fast & Furious 10-movie set Uni did 2 years ago, US got new discs for the first 8 movies, which ported all the extras (including past store exclusives) to the 4Ks, and even gave the first and 8th entries beefier encodes. EU got the set as well, but they were the existing 4Ks.

I’ll be gutted if this release is just the current master with DV slapped on. I’d take it if it was the current master, minus the DNR, I’d take that, naturally I’d prefer a brand new scan but who knows.
