The price is high, but when you think that youre getting, not 480i 4:3, not 720p, but 1080p 1.78, highest quality sound and a length of 8 full movies or so is not that bad. People used to pay $70 or $80 dollars for a Laserdisc of 1 movie a decade ago... I haven't seen Lost, waiting to see it in movie theater quality instead of TV quality. If a thing is priced to high it doesnt sell. Still when I'm at my local store and I see DVDs that already are out on BD or have been annouced for BD, and I see the prices and know that the BD is sometimes 50% higher, I don't think 50% higher, I think 6 times better and full quality sound and I'm glad I didn't buy the DVD.

Overpriced for sure, but only about $90 more than what The X-Files seasons were costing when they rolled out on DVD.

He has a point, but at that price it would cost $600 for all three seasons!

Hope you're not a fan of Dark Shadows then, with 26+ seasons ($1560 to date) on DVD already and counting (Don't know how many more are left to be released but I think there's a lot more)

See this emoticon?:

That's an incrediblely understated emoticon for my reaction to that math.

Default Lost Season 3 up at Amazon

Sweet because we're that much closer to Lost on Blu ray.

Bitter because this means they won't be going in chronological order.

They'll eventually re-release the first and second series.

Think of it this way. Most people would've seen at least the first season either as the original broadcast or on DVD. You can get the third season without overburdening your budget.

Damn, I can't wait to see how this looks on Blu. I just can't figure out why the hell companies keep releasing titles out of order.

Has this been announced? It is available for preorder, so they must know something. It is not just a placeholder.

No, it is not. Lost (Due 12/11/07) can be ordered. You can also pre-order Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (Due 12/4/07).

Amazon may be forced to pull them, but I have a feeling these are part of announcements that will be made public over the next few days at Comic Con in San Diego.

Sweeter than sweet. My buddies and I ditched classes and held out in my dorm for 2 1/2 days straight watching Seasons 1 and 2 on dvd. We've been dying to see season 3. Thankfully, I didn't buy those first two seasons myself so I'll pick them up on BD eventually.

http://www.amazon.com/Lost-Complete-...5372308&sr=8-1

You can preorder it there for only $87.45

A far cry from the estimated $200!

Wunderbar!

Already got Season 1/2 on DVD, so this is particularly sweet. What a great looking show ... I love all the tropical colour.

Numbers. Recent sequels/seasons are far more likely to sell well since fewer people would already have them on DVD.

I wish it didn't happen too. But, I fully understand why it does.
