Once that happens, they will turn around and start making Blu-Ray players.

I don't think they've made a profit yet, between selling players at a loss and the $150 million payout to Paramount/Dreamworks. I think the remaining lifespan of HD-DVD depends on just how much more they're willing to lose before throwing in the towel.
