I have to agree. As I recall, of the studios decided to support both formats. Hey, they were in it for the buck and still do so. They don't give a damn if your last working Betamax player just chewed up your tape. Buy a new one. Can't find it in Beta anymore? Oh well, we have it in VHS.

Ultimately, they don't care if you ever watch the movie again - JUST BUY IT, and buy it again when a new rendition comes out.
